I recommend using the free trial to its fullest to understand how YNAB works, because it's much more useful if you follow the underlying principle. It was a little daunting at first and expensive when compared to other budgeting apps, but when I tried to used others, they felt lacking, like I was just making an effort to record transactions without actually getting useful or actionable information from it.

Best budgeting app I have ever used. Pros: -It is hands on. You need to be logging in at least once a week (I do it daily). This means you actually use it as a budget and not a tracking system that runs in the background and you look at once a year after the spending has already taken place. -The software forces you off the credit card float. This app is truly life changing

This app is truly life changing. Our family is in the middle class bracket. Make too much to get any assistance and we make too little to really make it. This app has shown me where we spend too much so i was able to make the adjustments needed to give us a better financial life. I am still a work in progress but i am making progress.

YNAB is the best!

I used to mvelopes which I thought was great. But they went out of business. I tried many tools to replace it. YNAB was by far the best out there. I could not manage my budget easily in this day and age of online transactions without it.

YNAB is the best way to manage your budget!

We love YNAB! Their customer service is incredible and they offer so many classes and resources and sessions to give feedback on their product and make sure you know how to use it in a way that will really serve you. I love how easy it is to track credit card payments and what you owe and ensure you have all the money set aside to payoff in full. We will continue to use YNAB for the long-term (hopefully forever)!

Easier than I expected

So much of the work gets done automatically. It took me a few months sorting out what categories made sense for me, but then YNAB picked up what stores went with what category so I rarely do more than add a comment and approve them. Unprovoked I have tried to get others on this app. It is outstanding. Budgeting is life changing. I am retired on a fixed income and it lets me balance my big expenses like travel against emergency expenses like car repair, lets me get the most out of y money.

Love! Love! Love! Ynab . . .It's my 4th year and the learning curve was a bit tedious in the beginning. So happy that I stuck to it cause now I can't imagine what my finanacial life would be without it! I am on a very limited budget (fixed income) and since on YNAB I can even save a few $$$. Who would've thunk???? LOL Love the new "SNOOZE" feature! Thank you again!
