The marketing and hype are great but sadly the system lacks substance is not easy to use

Terrific accountancy - but stay clear of payroll

I would give Xero 5 stars for the accountancy part. It's simply brilliant for a small business with a large number of integrations that work beautifully - receipt bank for example.But I started to use the payroll at the start of the 2017 year having previously used the excellent but non cloud based Moneysoft. Unfortunately the payroll is simply awful - I can only guess it was written by a different team or they released it at too early a stage. I'm now debating whether to cut my losses with ...

Dreadful system

Dreadful system. Only offer email support, which is awful when you are learning the system and have questions on how it works and have to wait several hours at least for a response. Was quite happily working away on a account, and i come back and its all gone! Waiting for a response from their team at the moment. Going elsewhere, to a company which actually has a support you can talk to.

User-friendly, well-designed accounting software

What do you like best? A good small business software for businesses that don't need advanced features. Very good onboarding tools and resources What do you dislike? Xero is golden

What do you like best? What I like best is the unlimited user capability for no extra charge. It is also convenient to have multiple people logged in at the same time. This allows people to be using it in the field as well as the bookkeeper in the office. What do you dislike? The phone app is not as expansive or fully functional as I would like. Comprehensive accounting software

What do you like best? Easy to use reporting. Budgeting and expense tracking. What do you dislike? No live bank feeds with dbs business banking. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Benefits are built in budgeting reports. Problems being solved are integrating with other software.

Decent browser UI, much more usable for mobile

What do you like best? Mobile expense upload, mobile experience all around is very intuitive. Easy to take a picture, easy submission and quick response time from finance. What do you dislike? Website app is not as user friendly as it could be, mobile app is much easier to use. Also, difficult to use behind a firewall like Samsung Knox, but this is not a problem unique to Xero. Love the software and service

What do you like best? I am a big fan of Xero. We've been using their software and partnering with their team for the last 3 years. It's incredibly intuitive and easy to use. They remove most of the thinking and help us stay on top of all of our priorities. What do you dislike? Solid Quickbooks replacement

What do you like best? We like that Xero's features/functionality and cost are vast improvements over Quickbooks. What do you dislike? We dislike that they didn't do more to help us migrate/transition from Quickbooks to Xero. The extent of their migration assistance was sending us links to information. Great for StartUps - Very Easy to use

What do you like best? The best thing about Xero has to be its ease of use. As a new business we didn't want a dedicated person doing our accounts. Xero handles everything for us from connecting to our bank to sending an managing invoices, we even have connected to our credit card service.
