Have been using Xero for years but will have to look for an alternative.In order to access my information they require you to install their app on your phoneHow dare they, no alternative available That great phone support? That is only for new clients. Existing clients are referred to email support.what a sad serviceUPDATE: I have only ONE company that is subject to ATO. However XERO requires me to install an app for all companies. Just lousy.

I have had it with Xero now and will…
I have had it with Xero now and will move to Quickbooks which has excellent support by phone. Lots of problems with Xero:-- expensive for a small transaction company with foreign currency- payroll tools are woeful - impossible to use support by email which is just a cost saving method, you need to screen share with someone- they charge for bank feeds, like it is 2005

great phone support with persistence
Xero is a great program for getting all your accounting needs in order. The program is easy to use once you have all of your information imported.Getting the imports done was somewhat challenging for me. Although there is extensive help through tutorials, I prefer a personal hands-on help. I appreciated all the assistance I got from phone support. I am not a very tech savvy user so I needed some one-on-one guidance.Getting an appointment was a tiny bit challenging but I persisted and got ...

Great piece of software and customer service
Great piece of accounting software and very helpful customer service team. It isn't ideal that there isn't a helpline you could call but from my experience the email support is working well. I always hear back from the Support team within a few hours.

The parts of the software that work are…
edit - 6 weeks on and still no fix - just a lot of talk about looking at itedit - 2 weeks on and still no fix - just a lot of talk about looking at it* yes we have cases open for this known bug. 28th Feb 2017 - CX0004528963 was the first one so you can see why I say "you don't care about such matters"The parts of the software that work are good but they are terrible at fixing known errors.
