Still free, still one of the best

What do you like best? One of the huge selling points back in the mid 2000s was how much bandwidth and storage space you were allowed to use for a website. WordPress is the only service I know of with unlimited bandwidth, and plenty of storage space. Even the free accounts come with one of the highest amounts of storage space amongs many similar products, the "business" plan has unlimited storage space on top of the multitude of useful tools the account already comes with. What do you ...

Mostly OK, but clunky interface with random updates that break plug ins

What do you like best? The platform is very easy to use. Intuitive for someone who doesn't have web or coding background. What do you dislike? Interface is clunky and the plug ins get broken all the time due to random updates that don't seem useful Recommendations to others considering the product As with any thing, do your research and read reviews to fully vet the decision. Moving something away or to a platform like this is intensive and you want to pick the right fit. What ...

Great for a basic website

What do you like best? I like the ease of having a consistent design across all pages on your website, and able to change them all with just a few clicks. I also like being able to install plug-ins to do more advanced tasks as needed. What do you dislike? I wish more standard/default layouts were available to choose from. Recommendations to others considering the product If you want to post regular news/updates in a modern looking format, definitely consider WordPress to manage ...

Media Site Review

What do you like best? It's simple to use with a variety of users with different roles. It's helpful that multiple users can be assigned different roles with out any additional software. Adding an author doesn't necessarily give them the ability to interfere with other tasks which you don't want them to have access to. What do you dislike? Having to search to find which plug ins are needed. While it allows for not needing unnecessary software, it takes time to learn which items you ...

Easy to set up & use but customer service isn't too great

What do you like best? WordPress makes it very simple to set up and share a blog! There is a lot of "how-to" and troubleshooting information on the site to answer almost any question you may have. As someone who did not know much about creating and managing a website, I found this site one of the best. What do you dislike? I found it to be pretty expensive. If you used all of the features it may be worth it, but for my purpose it was way too costly. I am currently using (and enjoying ...

Easy to use, but recent changes are bad

What do you like best? Generally easy to use. I had no prior experience of website building before using Wordpress. What do you dislike? Recent changes have made it impossible to add spaces. This means no paragraphs, just one big block of words. It's TERRIBLE. I don't know why they did this or how to fix it. Our current site is in disrepair because of it. Recommendations to others considering the product Correct Spacing problems! This is IMPORTANT! What business problems are you ...

Possibilities are endless, some technical difficulties

What do you like best? I like the simple installation process of wordpress as well as the streamline updating process that wordpress has. What do you dislike? If you are not a web designer, it can be difficult to use. It is not as simple as so many drag and drop platforms such as Wix. Recommendations to others considering the product It can be somewhat difficult to deisgn on. Hand-coding takes time and expertise and is not for the faint of heart. So if you are not a skilled coder, ...

Easy to use web program

What do you like best? Wordpress is great because of the flexibility. The number and variety of plug-ins is unlimited! What do you dislike? If you aren't familiar with it and didn't have a developer get you started, it would be really confusing to use. Recommendations to others considering the product Start with a developer and take some tutorials...it will become very easy once you're familiar with it! What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you ...

Easy to use CMS

What do you like best? It's simple to understand, and therefore simple to train. It's also simple to use on the development side. We had designers with a base level knowledge of code who created multiple websites in a few months with both Wordpress.org and Wordpress.com. What do you dislike? In order to be so simple, WP has requirements that you can't alter. It's not as flexible as other CMS's... but that was a necessary compromise. Recommendations to others considering the product ...

Ideal for users across the board

What do you like best? Wordpress has allowed our company to easily make changes and monitor a client's website. It also has allowed us to easily show our clients how to update and maintain their site with current content, which is a budget-saver on their end. Instead of us having to spend time writing content and uploading photos that a client can be taught to do, that's what we've done. After the site is presented, we'll sit down and take the client through the easy steps to making small ...
