Spotsaas Editor’s POV
Wix's strength lies in its drag-and-drop editor and design flexibility. Before committing, verify that the template library meets your aesthetic needs—some users find the default designs dated compared to competitors like Squarespace. Test the editor's responsiveness on mobile during your demo, as rendering can lag with complex layouts. Check whether your ...Read more

Wix take money for nothing
Wix take money for nothing. They start off the service with a reasonable payment then the next year they hike up the fee to double. When you tell them you cannot afford the new price they take no notice. Obviously they are not interested in their customers once they have the money. Certainly they seem not interested in creating good will and or brand loyalty.

Better than most
There are a lot of complaints on this thread regarding the services at wix.com I have had a better experience as a long time website owner. My website is my office so to speak and it delivers my message across. I am one who updates my website all the time and not to have to wait for some overpriced web developer to get around to the changes, i can just go in and update it, send an email about the update or whatever. Limited yes, but the internet is the gr8 equalizer.

Zero stars - treat your customers better
This company preys on people that are trying out website-building services for the first time. I signed up to an introductory offer. They made the cancellation process seem like you were cancelling and deleting your website immediately, which I guess is a great business model to bamboozle and catch people (like me) out come renewal time. The contract auto-renewed and without any prior warning, they charged me a whole new year at full price. I didn’t receive any notifications – it was like ...

Wix has no real customer support
Wix has no real customer support. When my credit card expired I got email to my setup email account. They took my site down because I didn’t see the email in time. It took me 2 weeks to get ahold of customer service request address. When I asked what happened wix support kept telling me to do things for my site when they disconnected my site from my account! So even though I updated card emailed 10 times requesting help....my site could not be updated with new subscription. So I bought one ...

WiX does not support HTTPS on .co.uk addresses
Signed up with WiX recently to create a site for a UK company. The site was designed and built and even launched, only to find that the .co.uk domains are not fully supported by WiX. We have a site, we can access it. However, the site is 100% unsecured and you cannot secure it, because WiX only secures domains they are given full control over, but you can't transfer .co.uk domains to WiX for them to take control over it, to then get an SSL certificate for. That is your first catch 22 ...

Terrible
After doing a lot of research and deciding on a name for my company I bought a domain from Wix. Literally 2 weeks after purchase I searched my company and there is another with identical name doing same thing also with a wix website. Contacted wix for refund so I could change my name ( 1 day after 14 day refund policy) and have been refused. Will have to write off this money and will be going elsewhere.

They double charged us
They double charged us, then proceeded to lock us out of the account when we disputed the charge. They canceled the email, and we still cannot access the domain name registered to us. Currently, the organization is crippled with no email, because they tried to rip us off, when we called them on it, they blocked everything. I do not recommend Wix - especially for email management or domain management.

It's not free | Greedy platform
It's not free. All useful features are only reserved for "Premium" non-sense. Can't stay in a platform founded on greed. They would say that: "if you want to connect your domain, add a store and so on, naturally there are additional charges."But hey, there are alternative platforms that don't charge you if you want to setup a store. It's just full of greediness and won't help if you're about to start a small business.
