Free Wix is Awful

The free version of Wix is absolutely horrible. They make it impossible to edit anything properly. It doesn't make me more likely to upgrade to the paid version. It pisses me off and I am now switching to Squarespace.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Based on a profit gouging business model and will not provide assistance when required even with the premium plan. I would recommend looking at alternate platforms to build a website. After outlaying hundreds of dollars for a logo and website I am left with a logo that is really low quality, not correct and a website that has the user interface of a 90's arcade game.. My experience with Wix employee Angelo Lora was terrible. He purposely tried to sabotage our business - not sure if that is a personal trait or company ethos.

Not a bad beginner option

What do you like best? There is a nice variety of templates available What do you dislike? Uploading and managing content can be a bit of a pain at times What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? It's an easy software to use in a pinch and is very user-friendly. It makes building websites accessible to everyone!

I won't be using Wix in the future.

Wix initially seemed like a good solution, but the more I use it the more i realise it's flaws. The platform is easy to learn, but there are many problems. The page load speeds are very slow for users. The platform is extremely expensive. Customer support is hard to access. The reliability of the page navigation is very poor. Considering how much you pay for a Wix website, you would expect it to work smoothly but it just doesn't. I will NOT be building more sites on Wix in the future.

Very unprofessional

Very unprofessional. Reps don't speak good English. They have you on hold for an hour then hang up. I'm surprised that they are still in business. I am moving all 4 of my sites from wix due to the lack of professionalism.
