Vend POS Reviews in June 2026: User Ratings, Pros & Cons

My leap into unfamiliar territory ended with joy.

Yes, moving from familiar ground to a new and unfamiliar "point of sale", is scary. And you do have to learn new ways of doing returns and gift certificates, I found. But so far, it is going well. I like how receptive the VEND crew is and good changes and upgrades can happen without having to wait for the new software! I have learned how to use VEND and solve issues I struggled with by using the videos and community forum that offers other users' experiences and answers.

INFLEXIBILITY & CONTROL LIMITATIONS

Having used VEND for about 4 months, we appreciate the capacity to view and operate in the cloud and its simplicity in operating. Please find below the various issues we have with the VEND POS software. 1. ACCOUNTABILITY & CONTROL: The ability of the cashiers to view their sales total in real time is a source of concern for us (we would like this feature to be reserved to the manager and admin only, as it makes for accountability and control) 2. Vend is fantabulous!!

I have a small business and Vend works perfectly for us. I like that it integrates with Xero accounting program, it makes the bookkeeping so much easier. I am very happy with Vend.

Clean UI and Mobility experience of using POS

POS system on my Retail Stores are powered by Vend, and it super easy to setup and easy to train people to use it. it's Online capability made me easily view all my sales and reports in real time.

Flexible to do interesting things, like windows 8 app connected to VEND.

So far its been a exceptional company to deal with, they have everything in place to get excellent customer service solved fast. There is documentation for the API which can get you started if you know what your doing. Its all web-based which is a step in a very flexible solution.

Very fast to deploy a new shop!!!

Thanks to VendHQ Brooks England opened his first shop in london in one month. We worked with our SAP partner to integrate the two systems. We are now tuning the systems but it's seem the better solution that we can find concerning cost, benefits and startup time.

Cheap but back end is amazing

The Vend user interface is only OK to good. But the cloud, Xero link, Tyro link and all future wifi links makes this an amazing management tool. Much more than a POS. If you want a better cash register buy a cash register. But the thought process behind the reports, is brilliant. I can hop on my computer at home and watch all my sales and reports in real time. All works nicely

Vend is recommended for events as a POS. We used it over 4 days and it worked very well. Reporting and usability for tablet use could be a little better, if something.

Not enough options for receipt printers.

We haven't been able to fully implement Vend because of problems with the ethernet connection at the retail outlet. Vend does not provide support for enough printers for us to overcome the problem.

A little giant

I've used Vend from a month now and i can't stress enough how the implementation and deployment are such a breeze. Also, the girls working in the store love the simplicity of it. Better reporting and possibility to print price labels based on markdowns would be great, but other than that i would not see myself searching for another system in a long time.
