Honest review from a business owner
The system works well; if your processes are setup how toast wants you to operate. The reporting tools are trash. Huge improvements needed in analytics and reporting. The offline mode works to a certain extent. Recommend the cellular data backup stick to avoid interruptions. The handhelds are a must, they improve efficiency of the staff and reduce hard copy receipts to almost none. The kitchen prep board also makes helping in the kitchen seamless. Toast has made managing my business…Easy!!!!
Toast has made managing my business easy by providing more then just menu managment and card processing. I didn't know they help with fileing quarterly taxes and dui reports. This has taken a huge burden off my shoulders and allows me more time to focus on my day to day worries.

Go w Toast!
The machine, software and tech support are all fantastic. It's our fifth POS system and the best we've used. Definitely the one to go with if you're a restaurant. Of course there's problems, but all POS systems have them (no scheduling pricing for online orders, our local sales person is absolutely terrible at getting back to us (2+ weeks of messages and still no return)) but once you get going, it's a strong platform.

Worth your effort!
There is a bit of a learning curve but simply because once set up, it will do your thinking for your crew! We have benefitted from switching to Toast and would highly recommend it to anyone. Our questions have always been answered by customer service in a timely manner.

Completely incompetent and a time suck
Always takes five phone calls to get anything done. Never sure if anything gets done, because support always has to get someone else to help. They are clearly useless.
