User friendly, great software overall

What do you like best? I like that I have the ability to organize my Projects in a more useful way. What do you dislike? It's not a dislike persay, but I would like the ability to pull in test cases from other projects when I do test runs. Currently, I can only pull in test cases from the specific project I am working on. I don't always have time to copy test case prior to running them so accessing them from the run would be helpful. Recommendations to others considering the product ...

TestRail is a great tool

What do you like best? We find it very useful that we can organize our test cases and integrate them with JIRA stories. What do you dislike? We'd like to see some features that would make the reports more flexible. Recommendations to others considering the product This was the most expensive product we considered, but it offered perfect set of features for us. The support is very responsive. And the features all work as promised. We never regret this purchase. What business problems are ...

Good stuff... it does what it needs to do without clutter

What do you like best? - Test creation and running is Intuitive for the most part - has a minor learning curve - clean UI - the tree structure and ability to restructure, move, and clone tests is the real winner for me; it's easy to create tests with like functionality and very east to find tests and the history of the test, it's defects, records, meta data - ease/ability to push defects to other management tools like JIRA, Pivotal What do you dislike? - want to update a defect ...

Useful features, but usability could use some help

What do you like best? There is no limit for how many test cases you can enter; it's a useful tool to keep track of QA collateral. What do you dislike? The usability is far from ideal--even for full-time QA people, you can't always figure out how to get things done by just looking around. I definitely wouldn't feel comfortable letting a client have access to the tool for UAT. Recommendations to others considering the product The price range is reasonable--just make sure you are okay with ...

Test Rail

What do you like best? The system is very robust offering many useful features for organizing testing efforts. What do you dislike? The user interface seems to be somewhat outdated. I also do not like the drag-drop functionality for organizing sections and subsections, it is not very user-friendly. I also believe there should be an easier way to navigate back and forth between the various levels. For example when I open a suite it is hard to get back to the suite selection page ...

Easy, comfortable and detailed

What do you like best? Easy, comfortable and detailed. Has place for milestones, test cases and test runs. What do you dislike? Lack of Defect module. Should have been good if we could log defects here. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Able to capture the test results.

Great Test Tool

What do you like best? We needed a test tool to help our software development process, and this is an affordable solution for our company to deliver that additional level of quality. What do you dislike? It is a little challenging to understand exactly how to use the system at first. Navigating to your projects can be clunky. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We needed to improve our delivery quality and communication while ...

Great tool

What do you like best? Easy to use, keep a nice history of the test runs and changes in test cases, very simple to create user defined fields. What do you dislike? Not easy to customize reports, downloads and print outs, as well as imports to edit test cases Recommendations to others considering the product Have faster releases. We are using TestRail for year and a half, and we only had 1 release since we purchased TestRail. It would be great to see new features of the product more ...

TestRail is a great tool for managing quality testing

What do you like best? TestRail is great at organizing my test cases and suites so that they can be reused quickly and easily. The app is also agile friendly so it's very easy to create a sprint milestone and assign test suites for full test coverage. What do you dislike? The standard reporting and dashboard is limited. I find I have to create new reports to get the drill down information I need on test status. Recommendations to others considering the product I would recommend trying ...

Great Tool!!!

What do you like best? For a start-up company like ours, TestRail is a inexpensive tool that we use that has almost all the functionality of much more expensive tools like ALM. What do you dislike? Would be great if user could define the Test Case number rather than a system generated one. Also, would like better GitHub integration What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? All test cases were in excel before using TestRail. Now, we have a ...
