TestRail is easy to use for simple Test Case organization
What do you like best? The ability to connect TestRail with Jira. (TestRail being our QC tool and Jira being our Dev tool. What do you dislike? I don't know how configurable or robust TestRail is as a system for integration and automated testing. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We are much more organized and our QC team and DEV Teams are now on the same page, they can see what test cases are failing and connect those directly to ...

Best Test Case Management Software Out There!
What do you like best? TestRail is the right solution for our company. Our dev team is small but we have a lot of products to manage. While we have some automated testing, we perform full regression testing frequently. We used to rely on spreadsheets to organize everything but with many products, there is no good way to organize this. TestRail has just enough features and customizations to solve our problem perfectly. What do you dislike? Wish there were more integrations with some of ...

Useful features, but usability could use some help
What do you like best? There is no limit for how many test cases you can enter; it's a useful tool to keep track of QA collateral. What do you dislike? The usability is far from ideal--even for full-time QA people, you can't always figure out how to get things done by just looking around. I definitely wouldn't feel comfortable letting a client have access to the tool for UAT. Recommendations to others considering the product The price range is reasonable--just make sure you are okay with ...

TestRail is a great tool
What do you like best? We find it very useful that we can organize our test cases and integrate them with JIRA stories. What do you dislike? We'd like to see some features that would make the reports more flexible. Recommendations to others considering the product This was the most expensive product we considered, but it offered perfect set of features for us. The support is very responsive. And the features all work as promised. We never regret this purchase. What business problems are ...

An excellent tool
What do you like best? TestRail has been fantastic for organizing my team's manual regression test scripts. What do you dislike? Sometimes with larger test cases it's difficult for users to figure out how to expand all the sections so they can view all cases at one time. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Before our team was using excel for our tests. Now we can easily modify our scripts across the board. Adding screenshots has been ...

Test Rail Is Awesome!
What do you like best? Clean UI, easy to navigate, user friendly, great filter options, great customization options, great API for hooking up automation tests, great report generation. What do you dislike? The interface does not allow you to order your test suites or organize your test suites in folders for better organizing. Its simply a flat list of test suites ordered alphabetically. I'd like to see more options there because our team has more than 20 test suites and some are more ...

Powerful test management tool with gentle learning curve
What do you like best? Visual representation of test outcomes over time, API allows for relatively simple automation of manual TestRail test suites, integration with JIRA. What do you dislike? Clunky case editing e.g. can't drag and drop test steps within a case, can't define own test outcomes. Recommendations to others considering the product Give it a try and see if it works for you. Ensure that your test cases are written with clear, concise steps. TestRail is only as good as the ...

Very good script and testing product
What do you like best? The most useful part of the system beyond the stand-alone functionality has been the ability to link Jira issues with test cases What do you dislike? I would like more ability to create printed test scripts for paper testing, which needs to happen fairly often. Not every tester will have an account online. Recommendations to others considering the product If your testing is highly reliant on printed test scripts, this may not meet your needs. It works wonderfully ...

Test cases made easy
What do you like best? It's very easy to setup and get our QA team following guidelines. The Jira integration makes documentation and results a breeze. What do you dislike? The GUI feels a bit dated, but even that's not a big issue. Locations of buttons and UI makes sense. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We are using to validate software updates and changes with our games. It's made getting the entire team running the same tests ...

Simple, useful and easy to use
What do you like best? I’ve been using TestRail for about a year not for different projects and clients. It’s easy to set up and modify and replicate test cases. This tool does what you want it to do in the way you expect it to do it. What do you dislike? I sought out this product because a client had an export from another company they were working with. I guess the only thing that was not as intuitive as the rest of it was the import when dealing with custom fields. It may be better ...
