Integrates with JIRA plugin for improved efficiency
PROS & CONS What are the best aspects of this product? It allows you to customize projects such that you do not have to pay for projects that are not active. It helps you to save on the cost of running the tool in your system for project management and testing. For my case, the product was easy to use at first. I did not find the need to go through the tutorials to find out how certain features work or how to get around the tool. Due to integration with JIRA, we were able to connect with ...

Great tool to help manage tests
What do you like best? TestRail has JIRA integration which makes it work seamlessly with our Project Management system so all of the information pertaining to tasks is now in one single place. The API has allowed the QA team to automate requests and functions to and from TestRail to JIRA. What do you dislike? The API for automation could be a lot more robust and easier to use. It was a struggle to start. Recommendations to others considering the product It may not be perfect, but it is ...

A solid test platform
What do you like best? TestRail has seamlessly integrated with our other corporate platforms, specifically Jira and Slack, allowing notifications and links to be automatically connected together. This saves a ton of time when trying to figure out what exactly was tested or what tests were created when QA went through and examined a Jira ticket. TestRail also has some fairly robust customization options that allow you to customize the test case template(s and the taxonomy for your file ...

Using TestRail in an Agile Setting
What do you like best? Easy to setup and use. Flexible. Reliable. What do you dislike? you can't hit enter to start a search after entering search criteria. When creating a test run, if you don't add one test case, all of the test cases will be added to that run. Recommendations to others considering the product Definitely try it out. It is easy and fast to get going with it and you should be able to determine how well it will work for you. Setup sample projects, test plans, test runs ...

User friendly, great software overall
What do you like best? I like that I have the ability to organize my Projects in a more useful way. What do you dislike? It's not a dislike persay, but I would like the ability to pull in test cases from other projects when I do test runs. Currently, I can only pull in test cases from the specific project I am working on. I don't always have time to copy test case prior to running them so accessing them from the run would be helpful. Recommendations to others considering the product ...

Good stuff... it does what it needs to do without clutter
What do you like best? - Test creation and running is Intuitive for the most part - has a minor learning curve - clean UI - the tree structure and ability to restructure, move, and clone tests is the real winner for me; it's easy to create tests with like functionality and very east to find tests and the history of the test, it's defects, records, meta data - ease/ability to push defects to other management tools like JIRA, Pivotal What do you dislike? - want to update a defect ...
