Great Tool!!!

What do you like best? For a start-up company like ours, TestRail is a inexpensive tool that we use that has almost all the functionality of much more expensive tools like ALM. What do you dislike? Would be great if user could define the Test Case number rather than a system generated one. Also, would like better GitHub integration What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? All test cases were in excel before using TestRail. Now, we have a ...

Product Support Engineer

What do you like best? The ability to automatically see test results as soon as I am finished testing What do you dislike? I have had trouble with creating tests and putting them in their own category but after awhile I got the hang of it Recommendations to others considering the product Read up on manuals and guides before hand What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Whether or not all of our data is going through and being sent back, ...

Broad reaching, versatile test management

What do you like best? TestRail p[rovides a basic, simplified structure for managing tests, and then allows the user to build it out in a way that follows their test methodologies. You need only enter a test once and TestRail allows you to re-use it in multiple ways, to version it, copy it, or modify its contents is a way that it propagates through all the planned testing. If you're using a different solution and want to import those tests, just get them in a .csv file and match up the ...

Fantastic Test Case Management

What do you like best? The ability to quickly create test cases, create unique test runs and associate results via API. What do you dislike? The UI is a bit dated. It still performs well but it feels older. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We can now track historical status of test cases within Jira.

Great tool, fast, easy to use.

What do you like best? Able to quickly add new testcases , with the various means of copying tests. or doing mass edits to a number of testcases. What do you dislike? Inability to give developers, and product managers view only access in tools such as Jira. The current setup requires we give them a separate login to see associate testcases to a Jira card. This is bad in a few ways: 1. Another login they would have to remember for a tool they don't really use. 2. Our Development and ...

Using Testlink in an Agile Setting

What do you like best? Easy to setup and use. Flexible. Reliable. What do you dislike? you can't hit enter to start a search after entering search criteria. When creating a test run, if you don't add one test case, all of the test cases will be added to that run. Recommendations to others considering the product Definitely try it out. It is easy and fast to get going with it and you should be able to determine how well it will work for you. Setup sample projects, test plans, test runs ...

Exactly what is needed

What do you like best? It is a simple & straightforward Test Management platform. TestRail doesn't attempt to over-complicate the process with unnecessary features. In addition, its terrific documented API easily allows our test automation platform to hook in and report statuses of every automation run. What do you dislike? The UI is not as flashy as some competitors, but the functionality is terrific. Recommendations to others considering the product Determine what features you need, ...
