Spotsaas Editor’s POV

TeamViewer's free tier is genuinely useful for occasional personal remote access—screen sharing, file transfer, and unattended access all work without payment limits. The interface is straightforward: connect, authenticate, control. For business use, the paid plans ($49–$99/month depending on features) add session recording, multi-monitor support, and priority ...Read more

TeamViewer pros and cons

  • Free for personal use, making it accessible for occasional users helping family and friends without the need to pay for a license.

  • Easy-to-use interface, suitable for users of all technical levels, enhancing user experience.

  • Reliable and stable performance, ensuring stable and uninterrupted connections even over long distances.

  • Convenient for remote troubleshooting, aiding users in helping elderly or less tech-savvy family members.

Immediate connectivity on the remote connection.

What do you like best? TeamViewer allows users to diversify the screen sharing, adding sections to be able to chat, talk by audio and also communicate via camera, this helps the screen sharing to be more exclusive. TeamViewer remote access is in perfect video quality, which helps to perfectly visualize the information. What do you dislike? Its mobile phone application is very bad, too slow when remote accessing, and it also offers too compact an interface, which complicates user ...

Its a best app for connecting to my clients computer

What do you like best? I use team viewer to connect to my clients system and check the bugs from my place rather than directly visiting and having a look in my clients system What do you dislike? I have really nothing to dislike about team viewer but it would be better if i can have history of the sessions i connected Recommendations to others considering the product: I will really recommend my friends and clients for remote desktop and systems accessing. Unethical Cancellation Policy

Reporting yet another unfortunate issue with Teamviewers dubious cancellation practices and evergreen autorenew subscription. I raised a cancellation support ticket two weeks prior to the renewal date, as my company has closed due to the effects of Covid-19. I was, like many others, then quoted the 28 day cancellation policy despite making it clear that the company had closed and payment method cancelled. There has been no acknowledgement of the unfortunate circumstances surrounding the ...

Awful customer service and crooked billing policies

Their customer service and policies are the worst I have seen. They automatically rebill for an annual subscription. They do send a single notice before renewal date but you have to cancel 28 days prior to expiration or they bill for an entire year. If you cancel immediately after seeing the charge they say too late and force you to pay for the whole year. Certainly won’t get any of my business ever again.

Be careful the auto renew for teamviewer

Be careful the trap for the auto renew, there are no function to disable the auto renew at there portal, the auto renew only at to your invoice and their EULA. I think not many customer will alert without any email notification. If the auto renew processed, they will not refund, only will said please refer to the last invoice, it was very disappointed the services like this.

The best screen sharing software

What do you like best? This's an extremely intriguing possibility to log onto the desktop of mine from anywhere in the planet with a tablet or perhaps phone. I can sign in and put on for updates, or perhaps have job documents that I forgot regarding in the workplace. This's not always required, though it's invaluable in case you do. What do you dislike? I truly cannot say way too many negative things about TeamViewer. It saved me a great deal of travel time as well as ...

Won't cancel invoice for former employer

Used my corporate card via PayPal to purchase on behalf of my former employer. After I left that company, my corporate card no longer worked and PayPal used my personal bank account to fund the auto-renewal invoice. Contacted TeamViewer customer support within 2 days of transaction showing on my bank account, but they refused to cancel the invoice. PayPal wasn’t helpful either.

No longer supports personal use...

I have used the free version of Teamviewer for several years and been very pleased, sadly not any more. It suddenly stopped working citing I was using it for commercial use (2 pcs belonging to my relatives). I made the necessary case explaining it was not for commercial use, but was not accepted. Time to move on. From my experiences, I cannot recommend anyone to use the free version of TV.

Great software for controling a remote PC

What do you like best? It fits all my use cases regarding controlling computers remotely. I have a desktop PC with a powerful processor that I can use for compiling when necessary and connect to it using my laptop and Teamviewer and my Grandma laptop also has TeamViewer on it for whenever she needs help with computers, it does what it promises so it is a 10/10 for me. What do you dislike? If you are using it for server management and to control computers in an intranet make sure ...
