Carefully used reader blocked - No free replacement but discount offered on new one.
I contacted SumUp customer services after a 4 year old card reader blocked itself for no good reason. It had been carefully looked after and replaced in its box without the batteries in after each occasional use. SumUp told me it must have been dropped or damaged which was not the case. I suspect that, as with some other electronic goods, there may have been an issue of built in obsolescence as there was no reason for the card reader to get blocked. Customer Care Resolved Issue very Satisfactorily
After contacted customer care with an issue the problem was resolved and I am very happy with the outcome. The only reason I am giving four stars instead of five is that I was not given the advertised price for the purchased product which was why I had to write to customer care but I have been given a full refund now which I am very happy with.
