Sumup extremely slow payment and service

I used Sumup after as a local small business to take occassional payments via debit or credit cards as a service to our customers. Having used another market leading card reader company for over 10 years we were already used to taking occasional card payments through a similar service. But because we only took occasional payments we thought a major advantage would be use Sumup as they didn't take a monthly fee amd also they were sold to us that the payments would go through in about 2 days ...

I love my SumUp card machine

I love my SumUp card machine, it really helps my little business as I can use it when out and about at craft fairs, markets and home parties. It’s helped my sales as many customers prefer to pay by card nowadays. I’ve also started using the payment links too for payment of orders which is really handy.

I would award zero if that was an option. Taken over a business and so far I have been unable to get Sumup to change the payout details - so they continue to send payments to the previous business owner. They were notified of the change prior to them leaving and it’s now nearly 3 weeks later. Calls and emails go unanswered and they will not supply rates or contract details. We’ll move to Dojo and a new POS as this experience has been horrific!

I have been with Sumup for just short of 2 years. All in all I can strongly recommend them to anybody who needs such a service. Before I joined them I did extensive research as to which company I should go with and I couldn't decide as there were bad reports about all of them to do with reliability and customer service until I talked to a colleague who has been using them and he strongly recommend them. SumUp’s System Can’t Detect Fraud Payments

If you’re looking for payment gateway system please DONT use SumUp their system does not detect fraud transactions, and after a certain period of time (when you get few fraud payments recieved via their authorisation system) they will definitely take the payments back from you plus they will also report you to Match.com which will further affect your entire company’s credibility for next few years and you won’t get a good cheap, reliable gateway system - I have personally experienced this ...

Discrepancy between SumUp fees and Transaction Report Total fee

I have been waiting for 3 weeks for a reply from you team . I phoned 4 times to try to get an update on my case number 24436138 . Can someone in SumUp transaction and fees department take ownership of this case and email me back with and answer on this issue, please? Thank you

Avoid at all costs

Avoid at all costs! Terrible customer service, no response after 3 emails. They will not let me access my money! I am so annoyed; they have no right to ignore me and my requests to access MY MONEY. Small Claims Court next. DO NOT USE THEM!
