Talking on the chat site was a nightmare, this is not the first time that I have had issues with my card reader, I had to make three attempts to sort out a problem which cost me a busy mornings revenue in lost money. The two prior “chat” today were not helpful, but eventually I got a person called Tabriz S who went straight to the problem. Tried to delete my account as they made mistake and linked it to another company with similar name to me which is not great. Poor customer service received and my account is still wrong. Tried email, calls and chatbots but fobbed off, plus they don't understand @gmail and @googlemail are the same thing! Kept telling me it's wrong email address when both domains link to me and my account!

SumUp asked for information which was supplied within 24 hours. SumUp acknowledged receipt and in the same email asked for the information again. They did the same thing again with the second response.

They removed our ability to take payment on their server

We used Sumup for all of our face to face sales and our phone orders. After covid, our business changed to a web based service and Sumup didn't have a cart facility that worked for us. We started using Paypal on the website and they removed our ability to take payment over the phone out of spite. We have never had a single chargeback in 9 years with them and hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of sales.

Dreadful customer service

Dreadful customer service. The card reader stopped working for “misuse” while it was boxed and switched off. Mysteriously just out of warranty. Looks like many, many other customers have had the same problem. The “solution” is to buy a new machine. We are a charity and cannot afford to do this. Simply appalling. Avoid, avoid, avoid.
