Easy to use and great support

Our new community owned pub set up a SumUp account to take payments. The system is easy to set up and use. All our staff are volunteering so ease of use was vital. Their support team are brilliant and have dealt with questions quickly

Initial customer service poor, follow up excellent

(review edited) Sum up's customer intiial service was non-existent. They just send out standard template replies without considering the content of the problem stated. However, I have since received a follow up phone call ( subsequent, perhaps, to posting a poor review) which was excellent and dealt with the problem perfectly. It was a shame this was not the initial response, but I am now happy to upgrade my rating.

Only lasts 18 months- very poor.

Card reader suddenly stopped working, numerous excuses were given as to why even letting a customer handle it to type in their PIN. The machine is only 18 months old, it was working fine then came up with blocked error reading and to contact customer support, they blamed lack of care on my part and said I needed to purchase a new machine. Regarding your response, the device was not subject to extreme temperature at anytime, the battery is fine, at no point has it been dropped or damaged in ...

POS Lite bundle is missing charger/correct cable

POS Lite bundle is missing either a charger or the correct USB-C to USB-mini plug cable for the Air-terminal. Very slow support and they're not willing to help me further. Update after answer from SumUp to this feedback: This is just a pro forma answer trying not lose face towards other customers. I don't need support in connecting the stupid card terminal, all I want is the correct charging cable which is obviously not supplied in the POS Lite package. Even sending in pictures does ...

Best for Taxi drivers

Hi i am a taxi driver. Have to go in remotely areas where there is a problem for cash out n cash machine. So i selected SumUp . I am really happy with it. I am using it since 2021 brilliant service to be honest. No complaints so far .

Good communication

Their communication systems are impressive. A daily Payout Report arrives by email. I had to call them a few times - every time because of my mistake or misunderstanding - and I got dealt with quickly and courteously with, again, an immediate email confirming I'd rung, giving me a reference number, and then the email explaining what I needed to know
