Sumup say they charge 1.69% per…
Sumup say they charge 1.69% per transaction on Debit & Credit Cards and 2.5% remote invoice request. Then why am I being charged 2.75% per transaction on debit & credit cards on every transaction I’ve done to date. I have tried communicating on several occasions with no prevail. Customer service is none existent and emails have been ignored. They say that they are regulated. So that will be my next course of action to communicate with the FCA as it is false advertising. I will be using ...

Avoid Sumup! Non existent customer service
My business partner have previously used Goodtill and recommended them based on the excellent customer service. So we went with Sumup as they had recently taken Goodtill over. We were about to launch 1 cafe and a restaurant so we needed a complete POS system that took care of front of house and ordering + a kitchen display system. Sumup signed us up very quickly and also sold us the hardware we supposedly needed. Then the customer support stopped. We had the wrong printer and the version of ...

Do not use this company
Do not use this company! They closed my account with no notice or the chance to provide them with any information. You can’t even appeal the decision if they want to. I run a legitimate airport transfer company that are fully licensed with both HMRC and my local council. They suspect me of either fraud or money laundering which is totally not the case. They are now holding onto £500 of my money for 2 months. Best of all they closed my account a few days before Easter holidays which is one ...

Terrible technical support
Being with SumUp for nearly 3 months would use them for our Taxi services. Our dev team implemented SumUp payment on our website and we did ask SumUp to approve web payments with the 'Payment Scope' option enabled. Even though a promise was made by their technical support department would contact us ASAP, after 2 and half months nothing happened. We're back with another payment gateway provider - however, a little bit expensive, but comes with excellent and quick support. Haha - tried to ...

Terrible
Terrible. Do not waste your time with this company. They suspended my account and are currently holding a £1000 of a customers deposit. Despite me providing all of the information they have requested, I seem to be no closer to a resolution. Painful. I will be closing my account once our customers deposit has either been refunded or paid into our bank.

AVOID this scam company at all…
AVOID this scam company at all costs!!!! If I could have given no stars I would have. Just look at all the bad reviews. What a joke of a company. They tell you nothing before hand of money limits etc. Our very first transaction with them and they have CANCELLED our account and are holding onto over €2000 of our money until THEY see fit to return it either to ourselves or our customer. We have sent on all the details they looked for and still nothing!!!! Sumup do not bother replying to this ...

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!
BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE THOROUGHLY INEFFICIENT AND A WASTE OF YOUR MONEY AND TIME. In April I was looking for a card reader to handle purchases at my art Group’s one-day exhibition in May. I searched through the list of card readers and the SumUp claimed to be good value, easy to use and excellent for small businesses, so with funds from the Art Group I purchased one. The registration procedure refused to accept my well-established email address, so I had to create another just for ...

Good System Let Down By Appaling Customer Service
The payment system that SumUp offer is good, easy to set up and start taking payments. But should you ever have a problem then I wish you luck with getting help from customer services. It appears to me that you are not a customer that they have any regard for - just a number in the system. Recently I referred a colleague via their Refer A Friend Scheme using a link on SumUp's own web site. As a reward for doing the hard work and giving them a new customer, you get a £20 'reward'. However ...

Poor hardware and terrible service
Bought a Sumup Solo last year to use at our events. Machine was unreliable, constantly needing rebooting and terrible battery life. Stored in house during off season and got it out to charge and run any updates before our season starts again and found the machine had blocked itself. Sumup can't unblock their machines and as it was just outside of warranty, they wouldn't replace it. In short, hardware isn't up to scratch and lack of ownership by Sumup and their support team has ensured we'll ...

Terrible customer service.
I approached SumUp to handle my card transactions on the 5th of April 2023, as a very small micro business run only by myself there rates seemed reasonable compared to other providers, my problems initially started when the first card machine I was sent arrived in a huge cardboard box with no packing and was therefore damaged in transit, this was returned and a new machine was sent out but it was a cheaper version without a printer that arrived, we then arranged for this to be returned, ...
