Made it right in the end

When I originally purchased my card reader I didn’t need to use it straight away so was left sealed in the box. Fast forward a few months later I tried to set it up but couldn’t and had a failed transaction when I was testing it. As I couldn’t get it to work i popped it back in a drawer until I would need it (waiting for my other model to stop working) Tried setting it up today to have an error message when trying to connect it to my app to say I phoned them up for assistance and to have ...

Super helpful and nice people

SumUp have been so super helpful when one of our card readers broke. They were easy to communicate with, they replaced our product quickly and easily, they even paid for pick up of the damaged card reader. Their customer service is brilliant!

unprofessional joke of a company

I have placed an order for a new device and with no sign of warning, I now found out the device was out of stock. I have found this out via live chat after 11 days of placing the order, they have no confirmation as to when the device will be available and haven taken the payment, I am still waiting on a device. Very unprofessional and amateur company. Constant outage with their networks including today at 16:00 UK Time, has only cost me payments for 2 hours with no compensation or an ...

What a Joke!

“SumUp is a leading global financial technology company driven by the purpose of leveling the playing field” This is what SumUp advertise themselves as, unfortunately this month I have come across another side of SumUp – the complete lack of customer support! My new machine (only purchased in March) went wrong on Maundy Thursday at one of the busiest times of my year meaning I had to ask my customers to pay by cash or BACs not always convenient or possible. I contacted SumUp immediately as ...

Awful company and awful customer…

Awful company and awful customer service. My almost new machine stopped working so I asked for a new one - which they sent. I was told to use payment link while I waited and they charged me 2.5% on all links even though I was told as it was their fault this wouldn’t be the case. When I complained they were rude and wouldn’t help me. When I said they had lost a customer they couldn’t care less. This is what they call customer service! Terrible. Avoid like the plague!

No customer service

Ordered a card reader was ment to be dispatched 1-2 business days according to the website. 2 weeks latter nothing. Emailed them 3 times not 1 response. Rung them twice first girl said she escalated it to the appropriate place. Rung them this morning again this girl said that there not in stock. So she escalated it again. But could not put me through to the dedicated team or her manager or re-order a different one. Basically do nothing. Just hitting a brick wall with this company. ...

Solo reader lasted 1 days use

Bought a reader for our annual village fete last year. Used it, all fine. Kept in box safely until needed for this year. Reader says contact CS we will send you a brand new reader. When I contacted they said out of warranty & no replacement. 1 days use is not good enough & should last more than a year even if used every day. Eventually offered a discount voucher no idea how much as when I input it, it said voucher not recognised. Customer service is appalling......

They lose you money

If you lose business because of their faulty products i.e. software crashes or payment takes long to go through and declines after the customer left. They take no responsibility, blame you and never ever compensate you EDIT. SumUp is lying. Attempting to block my review as "false". I will provide screenshots of the activities of my account to TrustPilot as proof

Missing money!

Cannot get hold of a person to speak to 😡 only email option available for App services. Sent myself £1000 from my Barclays account to my SumUp account to pay for something (30th March!) money is STILL NOT IN MY ACCOUNT! 🤬😡😡😡😡 just want money back in my Barclays account now!! Have sent several messages via the App - still waiting for a reply. Absolutely shocking service. Will be closing my account immediately when (if!) I get my money back. Will be filing complaint with financial services!

AVOID - Sumup is a big fat joke

Sumup is a big fat joke. Don't bother taking anything large payment (ie. over £1,000), they tell you the maximum limit before triggering a "security check" is £5,000 and then close your account as soon as a £1,500 transaction comes in. They don't give you a reason or anything. All that "good" customer service and care stops the minute you are useless to them. EDIT: So please explain why my first transaction of £1,500 got my account closed when the minimum to initiate a security check is £5,000?
