Dreadful customer service, again

Great all the time everything is ok. Dire when it isn't. This is my second experience of trying to get somewhere with customer services and spending time and energy chasing my tail. Similar to what others have said, account suspended without warning (goodness knows what I would have done if it had been essential to my business). Have to send confidential documents to re-activate account but am given no secure way to do so (hilariously I would be able to do this through their portal had the ...

I recently started using SumUp for my handyman services, I started off with £50 transactions as I wasn’t sure if I could trust this provider, soon as I did £430 payment , SumUp suspended my account and requested invoice and my business website which I provided, then they decided to shut down my account and hold my funds for 2 months or refund to my customer, it was so embarrassing going back to my customer issuing the refund and asking to pay in different form. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE AND ...

Terrible company

Terrible company. SumUp block their card readers for various odd reasons including infrequent use (so not great for some traders doing seasonal markets). And be warned after blocking your device, even if in error, they have no way to unblock them remotely, rendering your device totally redundant, and the user is therefore obliged to purchase new kit at great expense. Apparently their kit is quite fragile anyways & breaks easily (by their own admission) but ridiculous to have it rendered non ...

I have used Sumup for my small business…

I have used Sumup for my small business for almost 2 years. I have had to purchase 2 card readers as the first one stopped working causing embarrassment to my staff and customers My payments stopped going into my business account a couple of weeks ago and despite numerous emails and 'chats' I am getting nowhere with them. They now owe me over £600 and for a small business, this is crushing Customer service is abominable and I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone 🤬

SumUp makes sales so much easier

Using SumUp has made it so much easier to receive payments and, as a result, has allowed more people to make purchases. The process is quick, clear and easy. Funds come through promptly and documentation is brilliant.

No length contract but hardware issues

No strings attached contract and We use it as a back up. but unfortunately issues with connectivity and the software itself let us down at a big event in August.
