Spotsaas Editor’s POV

Sketch is macOS and iPad only—if your team uses Windows or Linux, you'll need a separate tool or browser-based alternative for those users. The color picker has a known lag when sampling from external applications, which matters if you're matching brand palettes frequently. Before committing, verify in a demo that Sketch's component system (symbols) works for ...Read more

Best UI Design Software Around

What do you like best? Sketch is by far my favorite design tool. It just works so well for everything, even small things like resizing or cropping. I learned everything I needed to know in 3 hours and have been off to the races designing apps ever since. On top of the very easy to learn Sketch Software is an entire ecosystem of apps and plugins that triple your productivity. Plugins like Craft from Invision or Angled by Design + Code have done in seconds what once took me hours. Also ...

Sketch is a game changer

What do you like best? Sketch lets you easily create and iterate on UI and UX design. The best part about Sketch is that it has a very low learning curve, you could get up and running in a day. The program is also very small and operates super fast. It's also set up with mobile design sizes, templates and export options. What do you dislike? Not much. I love Sketch. Sometimes files can get messed up if you upgrade, but I get why they do that. Recommendations to others considering the ...

Love Sketch

What do you like best? The use of symbols to help manage repeating elements throughout a design. Integration with Invision. What do you dislike? They still have not fixed the error of images not showing up when you export a doc as a PDF. This has been a persistent issue for years. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? The file size can be huge and there's no lagging like I've faced with photoshop. It's very intuitive for web designing.

Sketch is Best Design Tool Available. It's not priced that way.

What do you like best? Sketch has an amazing community, fantastic interface, and a relatively low learning curve. Its wide adoption means that Apple puts out interface elements that work in the app, but it's startup-like company means it is priced MUCH lower than its competitors. I use it 6-7 times a week. I love it. What do you dislike? It's Mac only, so while I have never had an issue with that, I could see it be limiting at some point. Recommendations to others considering the ...
