Business Analyst during CMS Evaluation

What do you like best? We liked its usability, marketing features, analytics, authentication integration, fully responsive web design, browser compatibility, and viability. What do you dislike? The cost of implementation wasn't as great as something that was open source, but we were willing to eat it for the value. Recommendations to others considering the product Pick what best fits the tools you have available. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits ...

Sitefinity works for us

What do you like best? we've been using Sitefinity for our public site and an extranet for two years. We just upgraded to version 9.1 which is a significant improvement over 7.1. What I like best about Sitefinity is the page composition element as well as distributed authorship. We also use it as a document and image repository. Our site sits on the Bootstrap responsive framework and with some knowledge of CSS and Bootstrap it provides a solid user experience. What do you dislike? ...

Fully Equipped Development Platform save time in many areas.

What do you like best? The frequent updates and ability to keep up-to-date with modern programming standards. The developer community and infrastructure to aid in developments and bug resolution. What do you dislike? Lots and lots of bugs. I have been using Sitefinity for years within our research institution. Much of my time was spent in support forums trying to find the "workaround" for a known issue in the product. The CMS is heavy and complex and it seems no matter how much it is ...

Sitefinity Professional Version Client Review

What do you like best? I think sitefinity is cost effective CMS based on .NET technology. I am looking forward to their marketing module to enhance the web site effectiveness. What do you dislike? Some of the functions are not up to the standard - Online forms UX and functionalities, picture gallery etc. slow page loading is a huge issue with SiteFinity pages. All assets (images, videos, docs are saved in a database is concerning. I prefer storing these assets in a directory structure. ...

Sitefinity Product Review

What do you like best? The Sitefinity Product is definitely one of the most flexible and easy-to-use ASP.NET CMS systems out there. Compared to many other ASP.NET CMS platforms such as Kentico CMS and Orchard CMS, it is much more user friendly and intuitive. What do you dislike? The Sitefinity platform as an ASP.NET CMS was a much more affordable platform in the past with v. 3.7 at a price point of the Standard Edition for only $799. However, in recent months, even the Small Business ...

Very powerful....if you know what you're doing!

What do you like best? We use Sitefinity because of its powerful built-in Lucene search. The fact that it can search through PDF content is extremely valuable to us, because most of our customers are on our website to look for documents, and we have 900 of them! We also like how extensive it is, and that you can pretty much customize anything you want. We are excited for the continued switch to MVC, which will make customization much easier. We also appreciate the knowledgeable ...

SiteFinity CMS review

What do you like best? For our company, the ease to upload and update documents linked on our site is fantastic. Our documents change a lot, and this makes managing them very simple. What do you dislike? I am not a fan of the inability to easily find and replace site content. The CMS stores all of the data in a database, so replacing specific lines of text is a chore to say the least. We also have multiple environments, and our content links are specific to each environment (such as QA to ...

Irritating

What do you like best? Draggable widgets....................... What do you dislike? Demands high levels of customisation. Sitefinity developers are very expensive. Seem to be few high quality developers/designers – you end up feeling like a prisoner of the ones you work with. Constant, unexplainable hang-ups. It's slow and clunky. For a simple website requirement, it offers nothing that can't be achieved in Wordpress for way less cost and hassle. Recommendations to others ...
