I have had a great experience learning Simple Practice. The videos and guide are very user friendly and the platform has so many features depending on what your needs are. I have been contacted several times and encouraged to reach out for support if I have any questions. I have not done any of the billing yet but am excited to use that feature.

I've just switched to SimplePractice…

I've just switched to SimplePractice from another EHR system because they offer the ability to do telehealth visits from within the platform. It's great that these are HIPAA compliant. I've tried them and found them to be smooth and easy to use. I especially like that you just email clients a link, and then there is nothing for them to download. That said, I find switching to the SimplePractice billing platform confusing. There is an added Enrollment layer to the process that is preventing ...

Bite-sized nuggets of instruction, just when I need them!

I've really just used the videoconferencing so far, but the platform is easy for clients and easy for me. After opening their portal and signing consent form remotely, we were off to the sessions. I will adapt the HIPAA and other forms because, as a psychologist, I can and do provide stronger confidentiality protection. I am starting with previously established clients, so I can do that later. Do not use this service unless you are a CPA, IRS agent and/or programmer. You'll need all these degree's to use this program correctly. More work that it's worth. Poor customer service, no phone number to call for help.

I was referred to Simple Practice by a fellow psychotherapist

I was referred to Simple Practice by a another psychotherapist. I have used the service for the last 30 days and have found it easy to use. There are a number of easy to use on-line supports. I have begun using the telehealth feature for sessions and have found it easy to use -right from the clients scheduled appointment on the calendar. Clients have loved it and there have been no issues with picture or voice. Give it a try - you will love the ease.

Amateurish

Pros: Billing is very good (once you get use to it) Intake of new patients is very easy! The automated emails are fantastic. They don't charge extra for text reminders or the patient portal (most other EHR's will) The insurance information is easy to get right in the app Cons: So many cons...I don't know where to start. Easy to get started!

I have been working as a therapist for over 10 years and have used multiple electronic health record platforms in community based mental health clinics. Simple Practice so far has been helpful in starting my new therapy business. I really like the added features of billing, telemed and new client forms sent to clients.

Simple Practice has been supportive and easy to use. I have been using it for about 30 days now with no complaint. When I had questions the chat option has been useful as well as the many training and educational resources. I would and will recommend this EHR to other practitioners
