Fine with me.
I'd heard good things about SimplePractice for quite some time. I did my research and compared it with many other EHRs, and decided to try it out. I started my month-long free trial in October 2021 and I enjoyed it. After the free trial ended, I'll admit that the price stung my eyes a bit because I'm only (very) part-time for now. Bait and Switch
Bait and Switch. I signed up 90 days ago after a colleague recommended, and it was tremendous for those first few months - customer service was quick to respond, they actually spend a great deal of time with me on the phone as well regarding several work ticket issues. BUT...then I got a rate hike, from $49 to $59, and to keep the calendar sync which was basic with the $49 plan, you have to upgrade to $99. used to be an excellent business-- got greedy. Now the price just ain't worth it... March 25 2022 I appreciate the reply, however I'll believe those "iterations" when I see them. Frankly, I'm not so sure I can trust that SP will not pull off some other bait & switch. Especially since your clientele imploded in the past few months and your rent in Silicon Valley has not. I hope I to customize Google Workspace as my full EHR and to stop relying on companies to do the work for me.

Love a custom set up & client…
Love a custom set up & client experience! I have a solo private practice and I love that I could invest time in setting up the practice that I wanted. Simple Practice has a custom set up and was easy to automate, from my scheduling to new client introduction emails to billing to notes to client superbills. Great with some recommendations to make it better
Simple Practice has been very easy to use, and when it's not - costumer service is prompt and very helpful! The only thing I really wish was provided was the ability to see other clinicians calendars on the app...This has been a huge barrier for our group practice when trying to schedule and not having immediate access to a computer.

I had always been a huge proponent of Simple Practice, but they recently moved a feature that was part of the middle tier plan (and should arguably be a basic feature-calendar synching) to the top tier plan as a "restructure" while giving unwanted and unnecessary features in its place. Great for the price
Love using SimplePractice and am so happy this is the EHR product that I went with for my private mental health practice. Very intuitive and any questions you have are generally (very clearly) explained somewhere in the help section. They are responsive to suggestions and feedback and are constantly working to improve their product. I have run into occasional technology issues with their telehealth client but that seems about on par for any telehealth product so it's fine. I feel confident ...

I've been satisfied with customer support via email and the simplicity of billing. Hopefully prices won't continue to increase though.

Massive price gouging
Massive price gouging , and bait and switch. Many clinicians put in a position where they have to choose a price plan where they will be paying 50% more for something as simple as calendar syncing. Increasing prices is ok, but the way this was done makes it feel like they hate their customers and actually want a mass exodus. So greedy, such a lack of integrity.

What do you like best about SimplePractice? Simple Practice helps keep all the client's information in one place and helps keep my calendar/schedule straight. I also love the function to save assessments that can easily be added to a client's file. What do you dislike about SimplePractice?
