Payment before session
Can you make it so that the patient will need to pay the Co-Pay, if required, prior to being allowed to begin the session? That is the only issue that I have with the platform. The credit card on file is not easy to use or understand. Making it so that the patient will need to pay before each session will increase my income. Income from co-pays are chased down after session.

Profits over people
The platform is actually pretty solid -- the problem is they waited until I got my entire practice moved over to their system, and nearly doubled the price of one month's subscription. Therapists everywhere begged them to reconsider, but it's profits over people out here, and I guess they figure we don't have any other options. Knowing what I know now, I definitely would not have decided to put my entire practice in the hands of SimplePractice. Edit: removed another star for that canned ...

Lack of Customer Support
I love my weekly tutoring appointment with Amy Clark. She is patient, knowledgeable and helpful. However, I can never reach anyone at the Customer Service number 1-310-861-3151 so it is useless to me. Sometimes, like today, I need to modify the billing, and have no idea how to do it correctly. When I was considering joining SimplePractice, I was told that someone would be available to help [24x7/ or most of the time?], so I'm very disappointed at this lack of service.

Simplepractice sucks.
They changed their pricing and took away calendaring capabilities unless you pay another $30/ month. Their excuse was extra irritating. They claim it takes extra resources to provide. Funny, they used to provide it as part of the $69 plan but now they want $99/month. So they took away a service they used to provide for the price of $69 and are holding practitioners hostage unless they agree to pay more. No deal. We’re leaving them. Simple practice sucks. Their response below is clearly a ...

basic features being moved to higher price plan unacceptable!
My experience with Simple Practice has been decent however it seems deceptive that a feature as basic as calendar sync was moved to the most expensive plan with the plan changes to force members to have to use the most expensive plan. It was a bad move and definitely makes members consider other options. Not a good move.

Not very intuitive
I very briefly used simple practice when starting a small private practice for the first time in late 2021. I’m usually quite good with learning systems, and found the platform was not at all intuitive for me. I had to keep digging to find what I needed. I appreciated some of the templates, and being able to book, send automatic reminders, and bill all in one place. Then, the price went up after just a couple months of use. I took that opportunity to export my one client and leave.

Simple practice started out with…
Simple practice started out with limited customer servcie but has now tanked. JUST AWFUL! No phone, no live chat! It takes 6 emails and 5 days to answer ONE question. I can't wait to try therapy notes this year.

What happened to this company?
I started using SimplePractice several years ago and was pretty happy with how easy it was. It was an expense for a social work therapist, but it did what I needed. However, they recently significantly raised the prices structure for the features I already had, and unless I pay the highest tier, which is a big jump price wise, they will delete calendar data I have from years past when the calendar sync was in the plan that I paid for. I don't even understand how that is legal. I have ...

Really unhappy with massive price jump
I have enjoyed using SimplePractice in group and individual private practice. I am incredibly unhappy with the recent price increase as I do not use most of the functions but in order to use some of the calendar and scheduling functions, I have had to pay the highest tier rate. Now for my individual practice I have to pay a comparable rate as larger group practice. I wish I had known that the company was going to do this before I selected them as my EMR, I would have gone to another ...

Their recent price hike/gouge left me…
Their recent price hike/gouge left me high and dry. I relied on the calendar sync option to streamline multiple calendars. I can only afford the current tier so there is no calendar syncing and I’m having a really difficult time adjusting and getting organized, not to mention, I am neurodivergent and have relied on the calendar syncing option (which was a basic option originally) as a real tool to help me organize. I contract with a platform that relies on it too, and after the extreme ...
