Good for self pay clientele, poor customer service
Simplepractice is streamlined for scheduling, reminders and for managing clients overall. It is not easy to use for insurance and customer service is not good - slow response times, poor at listening and it's very difficult to get someone to have an actual conversation. They heavily prefer sending one email response and closing the ticket. Simple Practice is a good therapy platform
Our experience with Simple Practice has been a positive one thus far. I do wish that they would add room booking features and the option to have bank transfers for payments (ACH). This would save us a lot of headaches in scheduling, and a lot of money. Lastly, we have not figured out how to apply our insurance payments just yet, so that our monthly revenue is accurate. I can't believe this company is still around...
I can't believe this company is still in existence! When I switched due to increased cost and decreased product quality, I thought at the very least I could download all of my practice's documents, etc but I only got a small number of them. Customer service is non-existent based on my experience of calling, emailing and getting no replies. I am so much happier with TherapyNotes! Good riddance, Simple Practice, you are simply the worst! Simple Practice is easy to use for…
Simple Practice is easy to use for insurance billing due to the built in clearinghouse. I also like the secure messaging feature for communication with clients. I wish that Simple Practice had a feature allowing clients to confirm appointments. The system sends clients a reminder email, but it would be helpful if they confirmed. I also wish that Simple Practice required clients to upload their drivers license along with their insurance card. This would help prevent insurance fraud. Instead, ...

As a provider
As a provider, who is new to the private practice world, I have only one word to describe my experience with the Simple Practice Platform.... Awesome!!! If you are on the fence, don't be it is one of the best choices that you can make as a practitioner, New or Seasoned!! You won't regret it!!

Very poor support in multiple areas…
Very poor support in multiple areas including technical support, billing and overall customer service. Untimely responses, inaccurate information provided, and subscription billing issues. We were given a small credit (doesn't even cover their subscription fee) due to their billing errors, we had to cancel all video sessions on one day, losing significant revenue because they locked our account when they acknowledged it was their billing error and reassured me our account was in good ...

Mostly good, could use improvements
Overall, I would say that Simple Practice is the easiest-to-use and most intuitive EHR that I've used in my years in mental health. I generally find it to be very quick and easy to use. My main issue with it is that I wish it were easier to customise features that I need. I work in two timezones and with two currencies and Simple Practice doesn't accommodate either of these needs, despite the multiple timezone calendar being highly requested on its message boards. Poor Customer Service & Misleading
When Simplepractice decided to increase its cost I did not consent to it and believed that the subscription was canceled until until I seen the ongoing charges. There were no clear steps for me to cancel the subscription as it still was asking to "confirm" the subscription. This makes me feel I was misled by Simplepractice. They refused to refund me any money.....
