Simple practice does a good job with the basic functions that I was looking for - hippa compiant storage of chart notes and basic billing. I have been disappointed with the degree to which I am able to design the format of my chart notes. Simple practice allows you to add any fields that you want to custom documents, but there is no functionality that allows one to tailor the format of chart notes. I have a template that I am accustomed to using for documenting my work and this has not ...

Easy Peasy
I truly love the ease of creating clients, sessions, the client portal, etc. I am just now getting into billing... the insurance company situation is complicated, so I appreciate the tools that are currently available. However, there may be services that are offered through software like OfficeAlly that could be added to Simple Practice. Creating documents for clinician use (vs. sending to client) would also be helpful as would be an upgrade in tx planning offerings. It looks like ...

A good tool for clients... Needs some improvement.
I find Simple Practice easy to interface with and to learn about. I appreciate that they have video tutorials for most of the features. There are a few usability kinks that need to be ironed out like being able to make a multiple choice answer set repeat without having to copy and paste each time. I would also like measures to be readily available to be sent to clients. I can tell the company cares about their product and I am mostly happy with it.

I was using a different EHR that was more specific to medical clinics and it was too overwhelming. Simple Practice was easy to learn and use. It made insurance billing a breeze, and the automatic scheduling saves me a lot of time. My business wouldn't bee the same without SP!

just opened my private practice and was referred to simple practice by my suitemate who told me it was an easy way to keep all my documents in one place. I like that Simple practice is HIPPA compliant, and once I figured out how to use it, it seems to flow easily. I haven't yet taken advantage of the free 15 minutes of training offered. I thought I would do that when i finish my forms and learn to do the client portal.

Good user experience
I have had a very good experience using SimplePractice. I had been using a collection of tools to manage my practice, and am glad I made the switch. I appreciate the breadth of their product and the built in support.

Enjoying it overall
Enjoying it overall. Lots of convenient aspects, but still getting the hang of it. Maybe there is a way, but I can't find a way to get a tally of the days earnings from Stripe. I don't want to have to add it up myself. Also, some of my clients pay for part of their session and their employer pays part. Is there a way to set it up so their employer gets the receipt for the portion they pay for?

I appreciate how Simple Practice really is simple and easy to use.
I appreciate how Simple Practice really is simple and easy to use. It's also aesthetically appealing and designed to be user friendly. I've tried a couple other EHRs that were not as user friendly and also looked "messy." So far, I've had a great experience with SP and am excited to continue with them.

I recently opened a private practice and signed up for SimplePractice. I was amazed how easy it is to use. I really like being able to have my schedule, all the client information and my progress notes in one place. I also like being able to add other documents such as an assessment or client plan by simply attaching them. I also like the Option of using Stripe for credit card billing. It was very easy to sign up and works great.

All in all great but some growing edges …
All in all great but some growing edges, although I find SP way more user friendly than TherapyNotes and the other options... - customer service response time is lagging and confusing: - customer service threads - replies don't work, difficult to follow in email chains (not chronological replying), have to re-open continued new support requests/chains instead of being able to converse in one thread - documents/notes/client communications are confusing - they should all live in one place ...
