Be aware

I wanted to d/l a document by uploading 5 of my docs. After I uploaded the 5 document I got a kind of 404 page. But my 5 documents were on their list. So I tried again to d/l the document I was interessed in... and they asked me again for 5 documents. I deleted the 5 documents to be able to upload them again. But when I wanted to upload them, they still existed. Now they have 5 documents and I have nothing in return. I call this a shady practice.

Something about Anything and Everything ~ all in one place. I really love Scribd so much! The best of everything on the internet from sweet and shallow sunshine to the deepedt darkest caves......withOUT the BADguys and CREEPS.

Absolutely love it. For me it has huge variety of books on topics of my interest as well as many other genres. It's much more cost effective if you are a regular listener of audiobooks especially.

Scribd is SO affordable and offers SO many amazing resources - not just audio books or e-books! I use it when I have to wait for something at the library or if I want something right away.

Misleading cancellation process

Misleading cancellation costing me in total 40 euro. When you click the "cancel" button, it then says "you still have 29 days left". So obviously, I thought I had cancelled it. Now I've noticed multiple payments being drafted, tried to cancel again and found out that on the page it says " you still have 29 days left" there's a "continue cancellation" button on the bottom of the page; and when you click that button it goes to a page that says " one more thing" and after that there's another ...

Be wary

I can't comment on the library service itself (I never got that far), but the initial sign-up process is rubbish. To get the 30-day free trial you have to give your credit card details, then cancel before the start date if you don't like it. I tend to avoid these types of 'free trials' as the cancellation process can be a pain. I backed out of the sign-up, but got an email 3 days later saying that my 30-day trial (that I hadn't signed up for) was about to expire. And another email today ...

I haven’t had any issues yet

I haven’t had any issues yet. And I’ve appreciated how I can read more than 1 book a month unlike Audible. I think Scribd is a good investment. I’ve been opened up to the world of Audio books. By the end of January I’ll have read 3 audio books and 1 physical book :) I’m right on track for 52 books this year with the help of Scribd. Thank you !
