Very deceptive

Very deceptive. This is not an unlimited service. After you listen to 2 audiobooks during a billing cycle you are cut off. After you are cut off you can see the title and the date it will be available. I researched this and found countless reviews with the same issue. They were told that they "throttle abusers of the system". I am not sure how paying for a service and then trying to use it can be considered abusive. Very disappointed since I prepaid for a year. Not really unlimited access

It turns out that if you subscribe, you only get 20 days of unlimited access, especially for audiobooks. After 20 days, the everything is only available until you renew your subscription. It's kind of deceitful.

Ok for reading books but rubbish for audio books. As you can get mostly through a chapter and put a book mark on it. But when you come back to it you will have to start from the beginning of the chapter. When some chapters are an hour long really annoying. Would not waist your money.

Troublesome cancellation (Resolved)

Issue resolved very quickly

UPDATE: The issues was resolved very quickly(in just a couple of minutes). I would like to thank Scribd support. Will use the website if i need something. Request #1970055 I've beeen charged after 30 day trial. I thought it was canceled but after reading other reviews it appears you have to click around 10 times to actually cancel it. Unauthorized CC Charges - FIXED

FINAL UPDATE: Rating to 4 stars. Have never used the service but this is based on their help. It took a little time but eventually they came through and corrected what had happened. They reimbursed more than I imagined and deleted my CC info and closed the accounts my CC info was on. I appreciate the steps they took and they noticed that it appeared I was the victim of CC fraud. Cancelling is too difficult

Don't bother with this service, quitting membership on Scribd is a ridiculous process where you just end up on a next page asking 'are you sure?' etc with other content misleading from the fact that you would need to click it again. I thought I cancelled this in the spring but I failed to do so thanks to this con system. I just recently noticed this so they've billed around 60-80 euros for nothing. They have a good selection of books…BUT...

They have a good selection of books etc.. BUT..,. what has annoyed me is that once I stopped my membership I lost access to all my downloaded material, apart from a small 'sample' from each ebook. I can see how it makes sense for them to do this, but I just don't agree with it, not for the price which they charge.
