Scribd is Not "Unlimited Audio Books"

This service is misleading. I save all my audio books and wait for the designated date. I have no clue why I can only listen to one book a month. I sent an email to inquire, and received a generic email about understanding my frustration. I listen to audio books all day at work and I thought this was a reputable site. Disappointed

Horrible. Use to love it. Have been a customer for many years but now very dissatisfied. All of a sudden I am only having option to read books that I can get with a local library app, audio and e books. Why pay for the so called unlimited books. What do you like best? easy to just start listening on your computer without having to download the file etc I like the save for later option making it easy to keep track of what you want to read / listen to later. my paid for account has vanished. Can't get Scribd to reply.

I paid for a yearly subscription in August. Last month, I had to get a new phone. When I did, my Scribd subscription; all my books and in fact, my whole account vanished. I wrote them on January 10. Today is January 22 and they still have not replied other than to tell me they have been receiving a lot of emails. I bet they have if they are doing everyone like this. I am on the phone now to get Apple involved since it a an Apple Subscription. UPDATE: I only have one account. I also deleted ...

What I honestly now think about Scribd

I'll give the most honest review of this service as I can: Scribd is has an incredibly phenomenal database of documents which to access from a vast variety of subjects. That is what they were famous for ante-ceding their book service. Before you subscribe, you should note that you DO NOT have Unlimited Access to Audiobooks. Starting the first day of the billing cycle they allow you up to 3 Audiobooks per month from major (or somewhat major) publishers. I don't fault them for the need to be ...

Very deceptive

Very deceptive. This is not an unlimited service. After you listen to 2 audiobooks during a billing cycle you are cut off. After you are cut off you can see the title and the date it will be available. I researched this and found countless reviews with the same issue. They were told that they "throttle abusers of the system". I am not sure how paying for a service and then trying to use it can be considered abusive. Very disappointed since I prepaid for a year.
