If I could I would give no star. I purchase the subscription and I was really enjoying the site until I saw my credit card bill. I was charged for the trial. I contacted them and they refused to give a refund and also made a lot of excuses like I accessed premium content. Charged $9.99 not $8.99. They would not correct it

Site says $8.95 every where. They charged me $9.99. When I questioned they claimed Apple for over charging me. Once Apple confirmed they charged what Scribd had billed, Scribd told me it was a new marketing test and told me it would be corrected. Update: I received a refund and my account is closed. Original: Beware serious scam company. Do not use them. I have been charged £10.79 by Scribd through paypal. I have not subscribed to a service with them and I didn't give them any of my paypal account details. I have an inbox full of email from them throughout the supposed time I was subscribed asking me to start a 30 day trial. I set up a Case resolution through Paypal which they have denied me a refund. I canceled my subscription in April and I realized today that I've been getting charged $10 a month every month since then. I am FURIOUS and I want my money refunded. This is absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional.

Total scam

Total scam. Will charge you if you do a free trial. If you cancel your account they will reactivate it and continue to charge you. The only way to block them is to call your bank.

Do NOT provide them with your CREDIT CARD!!

These guys are a scam! I've cancelled and unsubscribed now TWICE and I just noticed they have continued to bill me EVERY month for the past 6 months! I now had to call AMEX to put a block against them and file a formal complaint. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT provide your cc to them unless you are okay with them charging you against your authorization!
