Not good for Kiwis

I live in New Zealand. Many of Scribd's offerings are not available here. In the first week or so of my trial membership I found many many books and audio books that I would like to read/hear. Then it was like the door slammed in my face...things I had listened to ceased to show when I searched on the author. Many well known authors appear only as podcasts or articles discussing their work, or not at all. The bulk of the offers were public domain and self-published works...almost no NYT ...

This is a scam, I canceled my account effective March 01, 2019 and just realized that they were still charging me! I deleted the account, but you still have my payment details. I want the money back and for the charges to end completely, and I want confirmation that you will no longer be charging my account. My support ticket number is #2388003 and I want this done now.

I cancelled my account over 4 months…

I cancelled my account over 4 months ago and they continue to charge me. I am sick of this. I went online every month and cancelled it and it magically reappears. No customer service, you cannot call them to resolve these issues.

Charged for trial

If I could I would give no star. I purchase the subscription and I was really enjoying the site until I saw my credit card bill. I was charged for the trial. I contacted them and they refused to give a refund and also made a lot of excuses like I accessed premium content. Charged $9.99 not $8.99. They would not correct it

Site says $8.95 every where. They charged me $9.99. When I questioned they claimed Apple for over charging me. Once Apple confirmed they charged what Scribd had billed, Scribd told me it was a new marketing test and told me it would be corrected. Two weeks latter told me that was not true the charge was $9,99 even though their site still states $8.99 Your rep basically told me to go screw myself.
