I don't even want to give it one star

I don't even want to give it one star. The choices are not great, but the worse part for me has been not being able to stop them taking subscription money from my bank card even after cancelling membership. I have been fighting via email for 8 months and have just threatened the ombudsman. You don't even have access to the books you have bought once you cancel membership; at least if you do I cant work out how. Website is awful too. Wont touch them with a barge pole from now on.

If you have any alternative to them, use it.

I can’t believe how frustrating it is to use their website on mobile browsers. Constantly popping up banners about their stupid app that “needs” to be downloaded just to read one single document. And if you by any chance need to actually concentrate whilst reading that document, well, tough luck, cause some god-knows-what other pop-ups will be there. Absolute waste of my time and money

Absolute waste of my time and money . Wanted to download a book for my kiddos at school, signed up for free membership then cancelled and was charged .... £11.99 not £8.99 as it says in price part of the membership fees etc... When I downloaded the book there were only 5 pages there!!! ( Out of about 25 total pages) ... This is so far the word experience ever... No quality texts ... Scribd should get their s#.. together before charging people such amounts of money... £11.99!!!!!

I just want my subscription canceled

I just want my subscription canceled. I've canceled my debit card twice and they still found a way to charge me. My subscription was canceled a long time ago and I haven't gone on since. Please just cancel it already I can't afford this!...ticket #2429590

Charged me even after my free trial. They even changed the time recorded when I cancelled my free trial. What a scam. Please listen to the reviews.

You charged me without having active account! WHAT ARE YOU DOING??!! You took money from credit card for the amount that is even not in your offer! Do you understand seriousness of problem? Someone TOOK FROM ME price that is not even possible in your services! You are impossible, just typing how much you want from inactive account. It is called SCUM!

Fraud

If I could give 0 stars I would. Bunch of scumbags stole money off me for over a year. I didn't even know who scribd was until I saw the direct debit from my account last week. Because of how scummy they are they only refund a month! Never used it and I never would. Especially after reading all these reviews, it seems I'm not the only one who's been ripped off. SCAM COMPANY

SCAM COMPANY I was charged for two months without notice and asked for a refund, they only refunded me for one of the two months without specifying such in the email. I was charged with extra finance charges from the credit card company because of that. And their so called specialist offered no help nor intention to resolve the extra charge for me. All they did was just keep telling me afterwards that refunds cannot be made after 30 days. DO NOT choose the company.

SCAM. Steals your Money.

I do not recommend Scribd for anyone. I signed up for Scribd with the free trial and they charged me for it so I used it for a month. I then cancel it and receive a confirmation email about it but the following month I was charged again, without an update or consent! I'm a student and I don't have enough funds to pay for this subscription. Please refund me and just cancel my subscription, I can't afford it. Please address this situation immediately Scribd.
