It's basically a scam
It's basically a scam. If you want to cancel, you will land on multiple pages implying it was successful, when actually it's not yet cancelled and you have to click a small text at the bottom of the page. Very shady, definitely not a legitimate way of making money. I have now opened a paypal dispute to get my money back.

Billed after confirmed Cancellation!
I’ve been struggling to find an account that was charging me monthly. I finally received help from Vanessa. She said she cancelled my account and refunded the last month I was charged. Neither of these things happened, as I’ve been charged again today! My case ID is #2458479 and I cannot believe they I would be blatantly lied to. I’ve been overly patient, but buyer beware. This company is deceitful. -Carson Wright

I wish I could give this company 0…
I wish I could give this company 0 stars. Do not sign up with this company. Stay away!!! They will charge your bank account for months, even after cancelling your free trial! Absolutely awful! I don't even remember signing up for a free trial, however, if I did, then i most definitely cancelled straight away. I have checked the website for my account history and it says that ive never had a membership. Ive been paying them for over 5 months!! How ridiculous!

STAY AWAY
Terrible company and terrible help staff. I started receiving charges from them four months ago and when I asked them to cancel my account and refund me the money they stated they 1) didn’t have an account with my email and 2) had no record of the card they were CHARGING. Had around 15 emails back and forth with them and I never got my issue resolved. Made me feel stupid when they continuously asked me if I had gotten a new card when I kept telling them “NO I HAVE NOT”. They transferred me ...

Scribd are con artists and scammers
Scribd is an absolute scam run by people who do NOT care about you. They have a bull crap policy for issuing refunds that says they won’t be issued beyond thirty days. Well, I have been made aware of 200 dollars worth of unauthorized charges that I won’t be receiving a refund for. I canceled my account one pay period after free trial and it was never finalized on their end. I plan on pursuing legal action if I don’t receive every dollar back. What a scam and con artist style company. Disgusted.

I have tried to like Scibd - BUT
I have tried to like Scibd, but the frustration is not worth any savings you get over a GREAT service like Audible. My main interest is Audiobooks. Scibd has a fair selection but nothing approaching the catalog of Audible. The main reason i dislike Scribd is their false advertising. Scribd is NOT UNLIMITED. read that sentence again. Scibd LIES about their service being UNlimited. You will be throttled by Scribd if you test their Unlimited False Advertising. Yes, as they have posted here, ...

Used the free trial for one document…
Used the free trial for one document and then attempted to cancel. The company kept charging me for 4 months that i didn't use at all. This site is a scam and the cancellation process is a joke.

It's not unlimited
It's not unlimited. You can get about 3 audiobooks a month before they only offer you stuff that's in the public domain. Saying that authors who published books 100 years ago are current and bestselling is ridiculous. Just be honest about what you offer and you would get more business. And taking away books I've download and am listening to is a sure way to lose my business

Done!
I pay monthly thru my checking account but before time for the next month payment they take away my saved books and tell me I will get them back after I make the next months payment!!! I’m like what the hell is going on here?? I can only read part of the month with a month’s payment?? I never heard such mess as this! They don’t have a lot of young adult reading material and you barely can find anything interesting under the audiobooks. I just can’t deal with these folks anymore!
