FRAUD ALERT!!!

At 16:01 pm today (6th February) I received a receipt from Paypal for the following:- Scribd Item Number order-488118550 user-494113824 £11.99 GBP I have never heard of this company and would never subscribe because I use Audible UK. Raised a ticket with Paypal immediately and received confirmation that the monthly subscription had been cancelled at 17:10pm. I have absolutely no idea how this company was able to charge my debit card for a monthly subscription - scary Support ticket ...

I didn't even know about this site

I haven't even registered to the site yet they somehow charged my card from my paypal account? How is that even possible? I didn't even know about it's existence and now my paypal says it was an automatic withdrawal from scribd??? How? LIKE HOW?!! Sent a ticket but from the reviews i saw i have no hopes for a refund... but then i just report this scam site and we see where that goes :)

Hacked, fixed, but not great experience

Basically charged me double, eventually received refund

Edit: I enjoyed the service itself, but had some issues with double payments that really made me lose all hope I was getting any money back as a month past without any reply. I didn't expect it, but actually received a full refund now. Greatly appreciate it.

Memebership

Hi, I was so disappointed with their services, I signed up for a FREE trial membership and they billed me with (WHY) 18$( double than the normal price , 8,99$, for the regular membership) . My problem is still unsolved, i did not get any refund, it is unfair, so I suggest you be careful when you want to try free trial, it is better if you do not enter your card information. Or do not even try it at all!!! jk

Scribd is HORRIBLE!!

I've tried to use Scribd for over a year. Worst part is Scribd will make titles unavailable AFTER you save & download them. I depend upon audio books to keep me awake on long drives, and I cannot depend upon books being available when I need them. Today's "upgrade" deleted all my downloaded books I needed for the weekend. Do not sign for a free trial

I signed for a free trial and I canceled the free trial immediately after I check the website and they have been charging me for two months. I tried to get in my Scribd account, in order to see what was happening.
