Ambiguous cancelation.

Ambiguous cancelation. I signed up once just to get a couple of things, but after being quite sure I had cancelled they kept billing me. So I went into the page an cancelled it again, only to find out that it still wasn't cancelled. The thing is... there's like tons of steps where you have to say "continue cancelling" and the buttons at somewhat hidden at ambiguous! It's a totally dishonest way of getting money from your users. #2606609

Don't sign up - they will keep charging

As a lot of people here I signed up for the free trial - I thought I cancelled right away, but apparently I didn't. So I cancelled again, and well, scribd charged again. I tried contacting their suppport - but as expected no answer. But well, if you hide the contac information that well, it's likely you don't want people to contact you. Will charge everything back now - screw this company.

Love this site

Love this site. I can readunlimited and listen to unlimited audiobooks every month for 9.99. It's the best deal available. For another five bucks I can get a subscription to New York Times that I was paying 14.99 for. I don't see what anyone wouldn't like about it. Anyway that's my opinion.

WILL NOT REFUND!

I have tried contacting customer support with no luck and have filled out a refund request. In the request an order number from a receipt is needed. I do not have a receipt, NEVER got one. So...I requested one of those through a DIFFERENT form. I've asked for a phone number to speak to a customer service representative, also with no luck. This company is not making contact or responding, and I want to make certain I am refunded for a service/ product that was never used, and on the website ...

I had cancelled my Scribd account…

I had cancelled my Scribd account months ago... deleted the whole thing and canceled my subscription. Still once a month I am being fined for my membership that I no longer have. Isnt that illegal? Scribd, delete my account and give me back my last 3 months payment!

Not for me, but good company policy, I would not be afraid signing up another time

Signed up for 30days trail as it did not live up to my expectations I cancel the day after. Had some difficulties with the cancelation so ended up getting charges after the month trail. I reported it to the helpdisk and it showed up this is a very good company with quick response they cancel my subscription and paid me back the the fee for the month I didn't use. If the content had been for me I would have rated higher

Lack of clarity

I had a subscription with Scribd for a few months now. Many books are not available except as audio which is fine by me as I can at least review them & then decide if I want to buy. I also like to listen to novels. However, as I start listening to a particular writer, I find her/his other books starting to close to me till next month. Just a few days into a new month. That seems to happen even faster around holidays which is really annoying. I sent messages asking for clarification on ...

Really bad experience

Really bad experience. All app does is tries to lure you into putting in those "credit card details". I strongly advice to avoid this app.

This is one at the worst audiobook…

This is one at the worst audiobook services that I’ve ever used (and trust me, I’ve tried them all!) The more you use their services, the more of your “saved” list they take away from by saying the title (conveniently) will not be available until the day after your free trial ends. Boycotting this app not just for the dishonest billing policies but on principle if nothing else
