Zero stars

(update: Since posting my review, Scribd customer support has been in touch straight away and is sorting out the issue!) Zero stars - avoid!! After being a member for years, my account details apparently needed to be urgently updated, but the scribd website won't accept my cards, google pay etc. I've messaged 3 times through the website since the 19th August ago with no reply. Scam :-(

RED FLAGS

I had a subscription no problem for a couple of months loved the service but I needed to change my card since I got a new one. These people refuse to update my card unless I sent a picture of my card or a bank statement so I now have a permanent block on my account until I sacrifice my personal information for their service. They claim it is for their protection “as well as mine” but I know the second I send over those items I’ll be needing a new card due to fraud.

*Update; Scribbr have refunded me for this item. Paid €25 for a plagiarism check and could only download a pdf version. It wouldnt let me download the document on the site and use site tools. Contacted Scribbr customer service who just kept sending the PDF version I already had but have since been refunded.

After downloading the app and then wasting approximately twenty minutes being kicked out every time I attempted to read a single title, I gave up and dumped the app. It was a total waste of time and effort, I definitely will not recommend this service to anyone.

I could give 0 stars to this company if I could.This company charged me without notice and IT IS APPALLING. How can a company charge someone without informing them at least a day in advance? This website is really dodgy

This website is really dodgy. Avoid it. Their practice model is on making you sign up and quietly charging you in the background. And they are horrible to their authors too. Check out The Digital Reader’s post if you think Trustpilot review is bias I wish I can turn back time and read reviews before this. Never give a bad review before. Wish that there was a zero rating. Cancelled numerous times, still being charged but can't log on to service to use because I do not have an account!
