I don't even have an account with Scribd!

I don't have an account with Scribd nor have I signed up to any of the free trials yet Scribd has been charging a monthly membership fee? I only noticed this when I last checked my bank statement, how is this even possible? I have lodged a dispute against this merchant with my local bank. They keep sending me emails to renew my payment. I use the site quite often and had used them for about a year. Until the past 30-40 days. I keep getting the emails for payment, but they wont accept ANY payment. Always some error with ALL my cards, or PayPal. There is no way to communicate with this bull crap they call customer service after numerous emails of trying to resolve it, to NO REPLY'S what so ever! They had been triple-charging me for 3 months! No Refund!

They had been triple-charging me for 3 months before I noticed! When I asked for the situation to be corrected and my funds returned, they only returned 2 out of the 6 extra charges! Unbelievable, they just stole $36(4month subscription) from me! If I didn't need access to the site for an on-going course course I'm taking, I would have cancelled my subscription IMMEDIATELY. They still get a star, because I haven't had a problem outside of that though... In either case, buyer beware!

Don't believe it when they say 'unlimited'

I signed up to listen to 'unlimited' audiobooks. At first glance, there seems to be a lot of choice. Until you actually listen to one or two books. Then suddenly, all the books you were interested in listening to and everything in your saved items list mysteriously become unavailable. BEWARE!!!!!SCAM WEBSITE, So what they do, fully explained: They write on their website that you have a ONE MONTH 'free trial' and then they ask for your card details on a seperate page and say you WILL NOT be charged for one month. On my happily ex scribd account was written 0 CHARGES. But my BANK told me, that Scribd had tried to take seperate payments of 70 and 80 euro from me!!!! Terrible

Terrible. I’ve had scribd since it started. Everything was good until I started listening to audiobooks. They aren’t unlimited like it says. You get 1 or maybe 2 a month. If you are lucky To get them before they make it so you can’t see any of the genre of books you’ve been looking at. They try to force you to read other ones you aren’t interested in. This month I got 1 day to listen to a book and then all of them disappeared until next month. Even the one I was listening to.

Good app....

Good app..... although not always the most recent and popular book releases to select from. Hi SCRIBD , thanks for your response and as requested here are some titles ( albeit not exclusively) I have previously been unable to locate on SCRIBD ....Middle England by Jonathan Coe , V2 by Robert Harris .
