I supposedly cancelled my subscription…

I supposedly cancelled my subscription after realizing I was hardly using it. In the process, they suggested 'pausing' it so I wouldn't lose my saved books. Little did I realize that their "pause" option only lasted six months, then they started charging me again. It's a lousy and sneaky company policy. I will never use their services again and strongly advise other users to be careful. A company that uses such an underhanded technique is not trustworthy in my opinion.

Charged despite canceled

Cancelled a free trial, only to find out two months later they had been charging me for it still. I have now gone through exact same process again seeing the same conformation button saying it has been cancelled but am very worried they will carry in charging me. Do not sign up even for a free trial.

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING AND DECEIVING

DO NOT Deal With This Company - They Have Systemic Billing Problems.

If I could give Scribd a negative rating, I would. In November 2020, I tried to buy an annual membership with Scribd using a credit card. Scribd blocked that credit card; following Customer Support agent Laura H.'s guidance, I asked the bank to clear their charge rejection. I told Laura of this and asked her to try using that credit card again. By doing so, she indicated that Scribd allowed her to do it. Charged so many times despite…

Charged so many times despite attempting to cancel with their long cancelation process of making sure you really want to cancel. Having to go through the process several times to press ‘continue and cancel’. Overcharged and for useless membership “benefits”. Not easy to use and not really beneficial in any way.

Fraud

I tried to make scribd account, but at the final step their server didn’t worked- so my account wasn-t created. Even though I was charged for more than 3 months and I didn’t use it, because the account wasn’t created, but they took my card number.

ANNOYING

I have used my Scribd account for going on 3 months, but when I tried to pay my 3 third month membership fee it is telling me to “restart membership” even thought I have already been charged. Their website is of no use because it says to make sure you are not logged into a different account, but my purchase history shows that I have been on this account for the last two months. SCAM !!!

you have taken my three different credit cards information for over a year that is unauthorized and I did not consent. I when i canceled my plan over 1 year ago and changed my credit card. you should not have any access to that information. yet this website fines out my new credit cards and charges me with me never giving any consent.
