Unauthorized Transaction and Silence On Their End

So I had a Scribd free trial in 2019, I stayed with the membership for a few months after the trial (Got charged one time and that charge was authorized) and then cancelled. Website signed me up to a subscription that I never asked for, then sneakily takes money from me without asking. I have reported the site, just avoid it at all costs they will try to scam you.

Help with password reset

I have been trying to reset my password as Scribd keeps saying that my password is incorrect. When I push to reset my password, I don't receive the email prompting me to change my password and I have logged 3 tickets (#3192667, #3196876, #3198832) with the customer help centre and I haven't received any feedback as yet. It would be great to receive some feedback so that I can access my profile.

Website is designed to trick you into thinking you unsubscribed from their subscription but you actually didn't. And the answers here from Scribd to the deserved criticism is a joke! Scribd doesn't allow any type of download now. They took away the feature that literally everyone signed for scribd. You now have access only through their reader (that sucks btw) and no way to download. Also, if you cancel you subscription you lose access to the files. You pay on, say, 1st of May. Scribd's support team is horrible... DO NOT USE SCRIBD. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAID FOR.

Summary: Scribd has almost zero customer support. There is no phone number, chat, or any other real time human interaction besides submitting a ticket on their website. Unfortunately, you will not get a response from them unless you leave a poor review on here. Scribd is dishonest, manipulative and takes advantage of older people who are unaware of the subtleties of online platforms. Companies like this need to stump up and show accountability for such fraudulent operations. My parents subscribed during Christmas of 2014 and happily used the platform for several years until 2016.
