I really liked Scribd at first

I really liked Scribd at first. It’s super easy to use and they had many of the books I wanted to read. But when I tried to cancel I realized how sketchy it was. They continued charging me for months after I canceled even though i was getting “confirmation” of my cancellation. No one ever responds when you try to reach out about it.

Avoid at all cost

Where do I even begin. Scribd is the worst, most deceiving, cheating and dishonest company I ever had a displeasure of dealing with. Their cancellation process is designed to make you think you've cancelled the subscription but in fact it takes 3 steps to cancel. Save yourself a hustle and don't bother subscribing in the first place. Their customer service is very unhelpful and you will not be able to get a refund. I signed up for the 30 day free trial which worked for about a week but then after that I was unable to sign in. My password no longer works and I have been unable to get any help in resetting it or fixing the issues. It looks from all the other negative reviews that I am not alone. I have a support number of 3238350 but absolutely NO help! It is all very frustrating as I did like the app for the short time I was able to use it. Scridb is a cheater / thief company

Scridb is a cheater / thief company. They are causing financial loss to clients suscribed for the free trial. The free trial is not free at all, they charge you with the monthly fee anyway.

Lack of response from support regarding help with inability to update payment method

Hi, I've been trying to reach you for two whole weeks. No one bothers to respond to my messages and requests for help with the site and payment. I do not understand from this disgraceful attitude? Scribd won't let me sign in

Last week I tried signing one of my daughters up for scribd and it continuously told me the payment would not go through even though I tried multiple cards and checked with the credit card companies who all said that there were not even attempts to charge my cards. Not good customer care policy to only be available once a customer writes a bad review about you. Scribd needs to do something about that.

Scribd makes absolutely sure that you cannot contact them at all. I have a subscription that I did not sign up for and I cannot get an answer through their automated "contact" channels.
