Fuming - still being charged for an account that doesn't even exist! Contacted scribd a month ago and still no response so payments are still coming out! I advise NO ONE uses the service. SCAM

This is a scam and a ripoff. They will take away your Audiobooks and make you wait another month to hear them - even if you're in the middle. It's total BS that they limit only extremely popular books. Their customer service is nonexistent. After about a week they send an email saying they are busy and will get to you. I confirm the other negative comments I had the similar experience. This website has such a poor security it's insane and their customer service is unreachable. I opened an account last year and I paid for 3 or 4 months of suscription before canceling it. About a year later, this march, I noticed that my bank account was charged for a new suscription in February.. then in April, and again in May.. !!! Be aware of this service making hidden charges on your card (I have no idea how did they get this info, probably build in a different app that subscribes you for more than 1 service). Predatory subscription cancellation policy.

While I appreciate the collection of documents on their site, taking a subscription to view/download them is going to cost you more than what you intended to pay for originally. My main gripe is the Scribd cancellation procedure. This involves clicking through multiple pages, with each page mimicking the very looks of a confirmation page suggesting you may have succesfully cancelled the subscription except that it is NOT a confirmation page and if you leave then you still haven't cancelled ...
