Poor Tech Support

When the system works, it's great - however when we have a network problem, as we have recently had. the support is pretty dissapointing. Our network/revel has been down since a recent burglary at our cafe and we have since been able to connect with our replacement equipment. I have had to pay for a local IT guy to sort the problem. This has caused great headaches and a lot of time on the phone. I should be able to count on local revel supplied IT people. I was told on the phone that there ...

Excellent POS system

Excellent POS system. It has saved me so much time as a shop owner. Also , easy for employees to use .It has improved our customer check out time greatly and our customers love that they can email the receipt . Inventory control is great so ordering is done in a timely manner so items are continuously available. This system is well worth the investment .

I love my revel system, so simple to use and there customer service is great any time I call them . I have recommended Revel to several friends of mine.

A lot of issues with the call center …

A lot of issues with the call center over the year, and many bugs with updates that has a lot of issues with our other vendors i.e. LevelUp, and credit card company

Nothing but problem after problem.

The cost keeps going up for any new add-ons and quite honestly I have been having problems for 3 years. We were not set up correctly and have never recovered. Each person I talk to doesn't seem to know anything and has to ask some one else. For example, my sales person, while very nice and responsive, couldn't answer 70% of my questions and had to ask someone else. I was set up with an up-grade that doesn't work at all. After the promises were made and the …

After the promises were made and the money changed hands, the Sydney office disappeared. They dropped off the gear and didn't answer the phone for two weeks right whilst we were trying to open. When we finally did get them, they refused to come on our site and do a proper install and implementation (paid up front). We were told to call tech support for set up questions and training or watch their videos. Joke! No project management, no after sales follow up, no implementation support. ...

Looks nice, but then you face the reality.

At first, I was impressed. Revel staff was friendly, helpfull. And then Revel decided to fire almost everyone except support. Then I have faced the fact that a lot of features doesn't work on Lithuanian version and nobody from Revel cares about it. Online ordering - looks like beta, terrible experience. Support - even worse. At first, they say "give me some time, I have to ask my colleague what to do", then repeats what you already know. An app stopped working in the middle of the day ...

The system is extremely complex, and takes weeks to months to get everything in order, programmed, and set up the way we wanted it. This system is not for amateurs or small businesses with just food or drinks. It's capable of so much more. The system is also not cheap. For 11 stations, we had to spend about 20K.
