ProtonMail is a good reliable email…
ProtonMail is a good reliable email service, with a great interface. Can't really fault the service, interface, or support. Where ProtonMail fails is it's one of the most expensive email services on the market. That in itself is not a problem, but you expect to get a very feature rich service, and ProtonMail is not! You don't get what you pay for. You pay 6.25 a month, yet only get 200 folders, 200 filters, and even worse 100 filters. Plus terrible limits on the number of emails which can ...

First
First, the "support" bots, as we see in protons "responses" to these reviews, are just canned non answers. Second, they steal your money and lock you out of your email. Edit: for proof of my first point, the canned non answer, see their "response" which has nothing to do with the problem.

"Fantastic secure email"
What do you like best about Protonmail? I like that i know it's secure and that my data is private and not being sold to anyone. I use it for secure emails but would definitely consider other products like their VPN in the future. What do you dislike about Protonmail? There is honestly nothing i dislike. It's secure and easy to use. They don't spam you with promo email. It's a good quality Service worth paying for. I really can't think of anything to improve. What problems is Protonmail ...

Encryption = losing all your emails if you reset your password
When I created my Protonmail account, I put a recovery email address in my account, thinking that if I was ever locked out of my account I could get back in with my recovery email address. Not the case. You can reset your password through your recovery email address, but you won't be able to read any of the emails that you've previously received because they're encrypted. So tell me why have a recovery email address??? In my opinion, the protonmail website should be very clear about this ...

Scam!!!
Scam!!!! I dont even remember how these people got hold of my contact. I tried to unsubscribe - they dont provide unsubscribe option in their e-mail!!!! They force you to sign into your account. Which I did not even remember opening. So I had to re-set my password - but if you do, they completely lock you out - so then how do you supposed to unsubscribe or able to do anything further!!! Does not make any SENSE! If you forget your password and try to re-set it, you are blocked!!!!!?????

Worst email account EVER!
Had them a good year. Not even try 7 months. One day out of nowhere I get locked out my account. Lost all my information. Tried to tell me it was my fault. I use the application daily but said I haven’t used my account in awhile and locked me out! Worse email account ever. Changing my address on everything. Cause this is a crappy service

TL;DR Don't stick your ("richard") in it!
What follows is entirely my personal opinion about Protonmail: TL;DR: Don't stick your ("richard") in Protonmail. Avoid giving Protonmail your charge card number or PayPal account AT ALL COSTS. Terminating a relationship with Protonmail WILL cost you, no matter how soon within the 30-day refund period you request to cancel your upgrade. I fell for what I believe was Protonmail's use of "Dark Patterns": they offered to upgrade the capacity of my free email inbox to 1 Gig. Then, ...

Avoid if you pay subscription
Avoid if you pay subscription. They will block your access to your emails if you don't renew. Then they will stop answering to your emails unless you pay. Awful customer service.
