One of the best email providers out…

One of the best email providers out there with lots of focus on privacy and data protection. I subscribe to the whole family of Proton products and I am super happy. The UX needs some work and feedback is always received well by Proton.

Seems like a scam at this point

There's a lot of misinformation on their page, features that are vaguely described as available upon "paid subscription" (and then turns out a paid subscription isn't enough, you need a specific one - which isn't clearly stated on their pricing page.) They also have a "30 day money back guarantee" which is laughable. I cancelled on the very same day because it turned out a lot of the features I wanted wasn't in my subscription after all. I had originally planned on getting a refund and then ...

Worst Android email map ever devised

Worst Android email map ever devised. I think their tech support must be a chatbot because it does not understand even the simplest requests. For instance, there is no way to delete messages by date or by any other criteria. The tech support tells me that I can delete them by selecting them 1 by 1 and then clicking the garbage can. Completely ignoring the question. I have > 100k messages! Deleting 1by1 is ridiculous. Search is non functional as well. The app takes 5 min to open up and ...

"One of the best Email service providers in the market!"

What do you like best about Protonmail? The best thing about Protonmail is its reliability. Data security and encryption were key factors in our choice of Protonmail for our business and personal email accounts. What do you dislike about Protonmail? It lacks a few features, like filtering out the promotional emails into a separate tab automatically. The user has to manually push such emails into the promotions tab. It must be automated! What problems is Protonmail solving and how is that ...

This is bad for business

LOOK ! . I’d decided I’m not going to use Proton Trash service or your email anymore. Whatever it is the problem I’m assuming this proton mail is a piece of garbage trash rip off. I’m glad I never upgraded to the business or any other payable option! . I sent you all the screenshots of the problems. Now you want me to do a video recording of the screen ! I don’t know how stupid that sounds. I’m using the mobile app. I download it off the iPhone store. I’m not using Safari and I’m not using ...

Shocking business practices and lack of care for their customers.

Made the mistake of upgrading an old dorment account. 3 years ago I signed up for a VPN account, and after the first year I stopped using the service. Since then an invoice for 2021, 2022 and 2023 was generated but the services on my account were suspended. Today I upgraded the account to a higher level. this voided the 2023 invoice but the 2021 and 2022 showed unpaid and despite my paying a subscription they would not activate the service properly and I had no access to what they were ...

get the same features elsewhere for free or less

services OK. However, email features are limited compared to competitors' features. Limited functionality to configure calendar invites. cAnnot separate out inbox window like in Gmail for easier reading. however, the value is good, all things considered. me would recommend 2/5.

Proton mail delete user data and accounts

They pay for their positive reviews - shown as the accounts only ever have 1 or 2 reviews and somehow give Proton mail - a scam company - 5*??? Please note that Proton mail delete user data and accounts and provide zero explanation as to why. They also outsource their CS team and are not contactable.

Good & growing

I do not understand the 1 star ratings, at least, most of them. Proton is quickly growing as are their products. Sure they are not cheap, I have the Family plan, so that all in my family can enjoy all of the proton products. Tiny minus point is the “3” custom domains, as the family has 6 users. Would be much more sensible to have 6 of them. And yes, there are a few things that are not super smooth yet, but hey, I was in the first Gmail beta (with the MASSIVE 1 GB inbox!! Good ol’ days) ...
