VERY High technical knowledge needed, or BIG TROUBLE - AVOID.
I have a paid plan with Proton, plus gave a backup email in case it was needed (for security verification, or so I thought), as any normal person would think, at least. BUT NO - you are expected to have downloaded some form of complex crypto type keys or something to regain access. I am not a Geek and now have no idea at all how to read any of my emails - some highly personal and dating back almost 2 years. I DEEPLY REGRET PUTTING ANY TRUST WITH THIS COMPANY AND SERIOUSLY SUGGEST ANYONE ...

An actual joke, replacing subscriptions.
So, I bought protonpass PREMIUM when they had an exclusive offer (when they launched it) for 1$/month, so i got it fast (as it looked good) i did this in august. Everything went smooth, it still has some bugs etc, but nothing major. Now, since i liked their password saver so much, i tought they, they also have a VPN (proton VPN) so i hooked up the 10$ to buy it on 5th september, and i got it. today when i was going to use my credit card, my proton pass said "Please upgrade to proton pass ...

"Best secure and privacy email service provider"
What do you like best about Protonmail? Protonmail gives full privacy to its users by not accessing or not reading their emails content by employing end to end encryption. Protonmail includes VPN, Calender services in it premium membership plans. Users also able to change background theme of inbox of protonmail. What do you dislike about Protonmail? Protonmail doesn't give much cloud space in its free plan and only gives 500MB of storage space initially. Remaining 500MB is unlocked if users ...

Worst experience ever!
Since it is secure as they say I decided to use a proton mail for work (team communication + bank, PayPal, and warehouse notifications). I communicated with only my team of 3-5 people and never sent or received an email from outside. They suspended my account, I thought maybe the bot flagged something as suspicious, this can happen I will send an appeal. When I sent an appeal they always replied 2-3 days after each email, and now they are saying that I violated and abused their terms of ...

1-year Proton Unlimited user review
I stopped using the service in June, tried to cancel my subscription 5-10 times over the past 3 months, but I have never been able to do so because I don't even have the opportunity (my account is blocked, on 3 September my card was charged for the subscription), and the support team ignores me and does not respond to my requests. I STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND IT. Absolutely no promised priority support for Proton Unlimited users, no response for more than 48 hours In terms of services, ...

No understanding to service a paid user
No understanding to service a paid customer. Had a free account and was pleased for several years. Paid for another email account and no support was given to get it up and running. Since their feelings were hurt that the dollar amount was put in dispute with cc (which I did prevail) company, they are holding hostage my free email account. Rather than find out and resolve the issue of being paid for a service they could not provide, these young techies are clueless how to deal with customers ...

Whoever responsible for UX in ths an idiot
Whoever responsible for UX in this company is a failure. In "All Mail" they include everything, including contents of Trash and Spam. Why do I need that garbage there?? In "All Mail" I want to see the contents of my custom folders and nothing else!! I just moved a few emails to "Trash", go to "All Mail" just to see the stuff I trashed. WTH? I have to go to "Trash", then select All, then delete. Due to this stupid UX I mistakenly selected stuff in my "All Mail" and clicked "delete". It ...

An alternative for Gmail with fewer options
Proton Mail email service has free and paid options. It has fewer options when compared with Gmail. But it is fast, reliable and secure. I'm using Proton Mail for a couple of years now and haven't encountered any kind of problem.

Since the suggestion provided by Proton…
Since the suggestion provided by Proton Mail once again does not apply (the folder method), I'll try to explain myself better. Among those 27.000 useless emails (in my INBOX), when I run a search for newsletter "x" and I get 7400+ results, I need to be able to delete those particular messages in one go. But there's no way of doing that: I can only delete 50 messages at a time. Unless I'm missing something?
