Account Verification Broken, Subsequently Permabanned

Couldn't get my account verified because the website's automated system is broken, so I couldn't even use Prolific. I had the account for years, unverified and unusable. I forgot about it. When I remembered it in 2023, I still couldn't verify my phone number, and the account can't be activated and used until you verify your phone number AND photo ID. I tried verifying the number myself over a dozen times and it kept saying my number is invalid with error codes. It took contacting support 3 ...

Great experience

I've been using prolific for more than 3 years and a half and I've enjoyed it very much. It's a great experience to be part of the research and express your opinion and also have a fee.

Given the ban for life

Long term participant. Updated my all about me. Then received the ban for life without a reason! Like many others here.

Site works, but you'll get blocked

Site works well but you'll probably eventually be blocked and nobody on their support side will explain anything or do anything to address the problem.

I have been with them for a couple of years and all was well, then my account was blocked After I e-mailed them they said it is blocked and not to try opening another account. No explanation given and l have no idea why.

Surveys are good I receive a few a day most worth pennies but they all add up if completed. But most of the time it'll state 150 places so I log on but it then tells me study full. So not sure what that's all about. Also a couple of surveys I have done failed me on some technicality but I have actually completed it correctly. I also got kicked off Prolific for reporting a researcher who was rude to me on his message to me which I had to then provide Prolific my ID and get verified again ...

Hello, just wanted to drop a line about Prolific. I was sent the ok to get started and could not figure out how to add my paypal account the box was not poping up. I sent an email asking for help. I had a responce in less then 5 min telling me they would email me soon to help. I thought that was very nice. Then not even 4 or 5 min later they sent the final email. She was so super sweet and explained it to me in less then a pargraph and now I am Paypal linked. Thank you, Prolific Support ...
