Great to keep track of everything in one place

What do you like best? How easy it is to view pretty much everything from attendance to grades. What do you dislike? I love this system, wish there was even more stuff that could be placed under the system. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? so much easier to keep track of everything from attendance to parent contacts with before we couldn't track everything in one place.

Great School Student Information System

What do you like best? We have used PowerSchool for many years. It allows specific access for teachers and administrators to facilitate all sorts of information on each student in a school or district. Teachers can easily input grades and print report cards. Administrators can log data such as truancies and behavior issues and so much more. What do you dislike? What do you like best? PowerSchool has almost all the features any school should need in a SIS program. We use the PS hosted version, which may have some differences from the on-premise version. The new independant PowerSchool company is making great strides towards modernizing and making the system easier to use. What do you dislike? What do you like best? It is very useful for reviewing student level data and running reports. It makes it easy to find specifics and analyze data trends for a student population. It also creates useful lists on very specific target groups. What do you dislike? The program is not very intuitive or user-friendly. What do you like best? I like that it is easy to navigate. It didn't take me long to get adjusted. I also really like the app because it was convenient and made it easier to access. I also liked how easy it is to determine my class percentage breakdown (between assignments, quizzes, formative/summative assessments, etc. What do you dislike? I like having the ability to upload grades locally to the computer without requiring online access and uploading the grades online when internet is available so you do not experience slowdowns due to too Mich traffic. What do you like best? I like that I can access the software online - I'm not limited to using it only at work or on a work computer. I like that I can see some of the history of the students (Log Entries for behavior, some grades, etc. What do you dislike? User friendly and good communication tool

What do you like best? PowerSchool has a well fomated interface that is user-friendly for teachers with multiple preps. What do you dislike? It automatically posts your grades. This makes it difficult to have in-process grading. I keep a separate notebook of grades until I'm ready to update PowerSchool completely for each student.
