Plaid pros and cons

  • Reviewers find it easy to integrate, with a straightforward, well-documented API.

  • It connects to a wide range of banks and financial institutions across the US.

  • A secure, seamless way to verify bank accounts and authenticate ACH transactions.

  • It doesn't work with some banks and services, and lacks a status page for smaller banks.

Zero stars

Since Plaid started partnering with Fiserv, none of the apps I use to connect to my bank via Plaid work anymore. Tech support chatbot is unhelpful in resolving my issues.

My experience with PLAID and Wave was horrible

Plaid is a complete scam from a lender…

Plaid is a complete scam from a lender perspective. They make promises about getting on the implementation calendar but you can cancel if you don't move forward. Stay away from these sharks.

Worst company

Worst company. Does not update their data and keeps accounts frozen (held hostage), until YOU fix their outdated tech. Don’t join any company that uses plaid for verification of your bank account!!!!

Citibank uses this and when plaid…

Citibank uses this and when plaid attempted to access my local bank ,my bank locked me out of my account over the weekend.Security question would not accept answer. I cancelled the Citibank credit card after only having it for less than 12 hours due to Plaid causing my local bank to lock my account .I have to wait til Monday to call my bank to unlock my account because of Plaid!
