Why teams choose pCloud
PCloud offers seamless access across all major platforms—Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android, and web—making it convenient for users to manage files from any device, at any time.
One of the few cloud services offering lifetime storage options, pCloud appeals to users seeking long-term value without recurring subscription costs.
With its optional Crypto add-on, users can encrypt files on their device before upload—ensuring zero-knowledge privacy that even pCloud cannot access.

What buyers should know before shortlisting pCloud
pCloud has been my go-to storage solution for over a year now. I love that it works flawlessly across my phone, tablet, and laptop, and the fact that I can pay once for lifetime storage is a huge win.
It’s super easy to upload and organize my files, and the built-in media player makes streaming videos or music really smooth. I did end up paying extra for the Crypto add-on because I wanted extra privacy for my sensitive documents.
I wish it had Google Docs-style editing, but for file storage, sharing, and security—it’s everything I need and more.

Why buyers keep looking beyond pCloud
Unlike competitors with built-in zero-knowledge encryption, pCloud charges separately for its Crypto add-on, which may increase total cost and complexity
Lack of an integrated editor means users relying on collaborative document creation may prefer services like Google Drive or OneDrive
Free and standard plans typically limit connected devices to five, which may hinder power users with many devices
Some users report the UI feels dated compared to slicker, more modern platforms
While pCloud supports browser extensions and social backups, it lacks the deep ecosystem integrations found in Dropbox or OneDrive
Extended version history beyond basic levels requires paid plans, whereas some competitors offer robust versioning even on free tiers
