With its optional Crypto add-on, users can encrypt files on their device before upload—ensuring zero-knowledge privacy that even pCloud cannot access.

What buyers should know before choosing pCloud
pCloud has been my go-to storage solution for over a year now. I love that it works flawlessly across my phone, tablet, and laptop, and the fact that I can pay once for lifetime storage is a huge win.
It’s super easy to upload and organize my files, and the built-in media player makes streaming videos or music really smooth. I did end up paying extra for the Crypto add-on because I wanted extra privacy for my sensitive documents.
I wish it had Google Docs-style editing, but for file storage, sharing, and security—it’s everything I need and more.

Why buyers keep looking beyond pCloud
Crypto add-on costs extra — teams needing zero-knowledge encryption pay separately vs. competitors bundling it in
No built-in document editor — users doing collaborative editing switch to Google Drive or OneDrive
Free and standard plans cap connected devices at five — power users with 10+ devices hit limits immediately
UI design lags behind competitors like Dropbox and OneDrive in visual polish and navigation
Missing deep integrations with Slack, Microsoft Teams, and other SaaS tools that Dropbox and OneDrive offer natively
