I was scammed by a company during lockdown and Paypal protection was nonexistent!

during covid I was scammed by a Chinese company, they did not send the item, when I put a claim in to PayPal the company then sent some plastic items just so that they could have a tracking number. I informed PayPal they said that I should send the items back and I would get a full refund however the did not provide an address to send the items back to, i kept requesting it but they told me to contact the company for the address they did not want to give it to me. i went back to paypal and ...

I got scammed by a company named yukawa, they ripped everyone off, I pay thru paypal to be protected but they said I didn't respond to the case, which I did twice. I will never use paypal again or recommend it. They DO NOT BACK YOUR PURCHASES.

Although there are a lot of negative reviews here I always pay with paypal if the option is there. I have had multiple issues and always claimed back through PayPal resolution center who give a fair judgement.

Bought an item off E-Bay

Bought an item off E-Bay, £100. Very shortly afterwards, received an e-mail saying 'purchase cancelled, item removed from site' (Fraudulent?) - e-mail said 'don't worry, you haven't paid'. After a short while, e-mail from P/pal, sayinmg 'you've received a refund' - this shlowed as 'pending' on my account, apparently an e-cheque. Couple of days later, £100 left my bank account, which was a surprise, but still felt reassured. THEN, refund changed to 'cancelled', no explanation, no e-mail. ...

i wanted paypal to reimburse me for batterys i bought that lasted just 1month. seller wanted me to ship items to china, when the items were bought here in Australia. I haven't used the account in years and had funds paid into the account through eBay, but my contact numbers have changed and the bank accounts registered I no longer have the details (plus banks only keep a record for up to 7 years for closed accounts. I can provide information on the funds paid and any other ID they'd like - instead they have no answers or escalation and wait for you to lose your patience.
